Over a turbulent 24 hours, Donald Trump took to Truth Social to claim he had brokered a ceasefire between Israel and Iran—a claim quickly disproven as missile strikes continued. Despite clear evidence that no real ceasefire existed, Trump and his allies, like Stephen Miller, praised his actions as historic and masterful, highlighting Trump’s desire for recognition and control amid the chaos.
When the fighting persisted, Trump lashed out publicly at both Israel and Iran, bewildered that his proclamations were ignored. His erratic social media posts and contradictory statements revealed a lack of coherent foreign policy and control. Meanwhile, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dodged questions about rising oil prices and potential Iranian threats to the Strait of Hormuz, demonstrating the administration’s unpreparedness and disarray.
Trump further escalated tensions by insisting Iranian nuclear sites were “totally destroyed,” despite satellite images and intelligence showing only partial damage. When media outlets refused to echo his claims, he responded with personal attacks on journalists. Experts believe the strike set back Iran’s nuclear program by only months, raising doubts about the strike’s strategic value versus its political theater.
Despite mounting evidence against Trump’s claims, his surrogates repeated the false narrative, with some even calling for him to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. This Orwellian messaging reframed aggression as peace, serving more to inflate Trump’s ego than to reflect reality. Trump’s contradictory leadership was also on display when he declared “great unity” in the Republican Party but then attacked Congressman Thomas Massie for questioning his war powers, illustrating the party’s shift from policy debate to cult-like loyalty demands.
Finally, Congressman Greg Landsman appeared on the show to share a sobering firsthand account of being notified he was on a domestic terror hit list, highlighting the real dangers of rising political violence fueled by extremist rhetoric. Landsman emphasized the need for unified leadership, social media reform, and better threat detection.

the David Pakman show never disappoints, good stuff!
Do we really believe Netanyahu and Iran will maintain this new cease fire? Did Trump tell him, no more money from US unless you stop? I mean 11.8 billion dollars is a lot of money.
