MISERABLE Melania joins Trump at fundraiser, looks like hostage video
Melania Trump's recent appearance at Trump's high-dollar fundraiser in Florida reignited speculation about her well-being, with many observing her demeanor as nothing short of miserable, perhaps even signaling distress akin to being held hostage. The optics of Melania's discomfort only deepen suspicions about her absence from the campaign trail. While Trump claims to have raised $50 million at the event, there’s reason to be skeptical. The fundraiser, boasting tickets priced from a quarter to three-quarters of a million dollars, drew attention to the influence of wealthy donors like disgraced figures Kelly Leffler and Steve Wynn. In contrast, Biden's fundraising efforts, though criticized for catering to elites, involved a larger and more diverse attendee base with tickets as low as $225. The stark contrast underscores the deep-rooted flaws in the campaign finance system, a sentiment echoed by Melania's somber presence. As we scrutinize these fundraising figures, it's evident that the system requires fundamental reform beyond just limiting campaign durations.
Confused Trump STUNS MAGA base with abortion video
In a recent statement, former President Donald Trump sparked controversy with his stance on abortion, attempting to navigate a delicate balance that could end up pleasing no one. Trump's ambiguous message, released on his Truth Social platform, appeared to endorse exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother, while also boasting of his role in ending Roe v. Wade. Yet, this attempt to appeal to all sides revealed a fundamental lack of consistency and conviction, with Trump essentially deferring the issue to the states in a bid to secure votes. However, Trump's historical stance on abortion, evidenced by a 1999 interview where he expressed strong pro-choice sentiments, raises questions about the sincerity of his newfound pro-life position. This latest maneuver underscores Trump's willingness to adopt whatever position suits his political agenda, leaving observers to question where his true beliefs lie amidst the political rhetoric.
From the weekend:
The Electoral College is DEI for Republicans
Conservative opposition to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs is emblematic of a glaring contradiction within their political ideology. While vehemently rejecting concepts like affirmative action and equity in institutions, they conveniently ignore how similar principles underpin the very structures that grant them power. The Electoral College, hailed by many Republicans, disproportionately amplifies the voices of less populous, typically conservative states, while the United States Senate ensures equal representation regardless of population, further skewing right-wing influence. Yet, when it comes to contemporary applications of diversity and inclusion, such as in university admissions or corporate boards, conservatives vehemently oppose them. This stark hypocrisy reveals a fundamental contradiction: embracing DEI-like mechanisms in government while decrying them elsewhere. The dissonance between their defense of traditional systems and their rejection of diversity initiatives highlights a deeper inconsistency in their worldview—one that demands scrutiny and reflection.
Baltimore mayor hit with racist attacks, called DEI hire
In the aftermath of the devastating bridge collapse in Baltimore, Mayor Brandon Scott has unfortunately become a target of right-wing backlash. Despite his swift response and calls for unity, critics have diverted attention to Mayor Scott's race, baselessly attributing the tragedy to diversity, equity, and inclusion policies. Phil Lyman, a Utah Republican and gubernatorial candidate, even extended this criticism to Maryland Governor Wes Moore, alleging a prioritization of diversity over citizen welfare. These racially charged attacks, veiled under the guise of policy critique, echo a disturbing trend of bigotry. Mayor Scott, speaking candidly on MSNBC, shed light on the underlying racism, emphasizing the importance of challenging such narratives. It's a stark reminder of the insidious ways racism persists, even in the face of tragedy, and underscores the need to confront it head-on.

Trump was correct about one thing... "We are the laughingstock of the world...". 100 percent correct. And do you know why.... because who could be stupid enough to vote for this ignorant crook not once, but twice! I'm Canadian but I implore all sensible Americans to vote Blue come November. And make sure your friends and neighbours do too!
Why dies it surprise anybody that the right is confused about the eclipse? They get get confused whenever science "works". They do not even know when science is "working"! The computer that I am using to type these words could not be built without an understanding o science. Polio vaccines, broad spectrum antibiotics, multi-grade motor oil, automatic break systems, refrigerators, none of these things would exist without science "working". To pick and choose which parts of science "work" is a fool's errand, because of the self-correcting nature of scientific research.
