The World is Starting to Ignore Trump
Even as Donald Trump refuses to accept defeat, world leaders are moving forward and congratulating Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on winning the 2020 election. The leaders of major US allies like Germany and Israel have congratulated and welcomed Biden and Harris. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson referred to Trump as the “previous president.” Newspapers around the world, after reporting the election results, are now moving onto discussing Joe Biden's potential cabinet, foreign policy, and how a Biden presidency will impact relations with their countries. Biden is working on containing coronavirus and trying to ensure the Supreme Court doesn’t overturn the Affordable Care Act. The difference between 45 and 46 could not be more stark.
The rest of the world has seen leaders behave in the way Trump is currently behaving and they know it tends to end badly. Yet they are starting to pay more attention to the American government as well because they know they can start working with us again. Joe Biden will undoubtedly be a much better president on global issues like climate change and nuclear disarmament than Donald Trump ever was. There is a real opportunity to regain the trust of the world, but we have to get to Inauguration Day before we can fully get there.
WHOA: 86% of Trumpists Think Biden Didn't Really Win
I've spoken for years about the mind virus that is Trumpism and I’ve talked about the very real impact that watching Fox News and listening to Trump has on people. Some thought that in defeat the Trump cult would melt away but instead they appear convinced that the entire election was fraudulent. According to an Economist/YouGov poll, 86% of Trump voters believe Joe Biden has not legitimately won the election and more than 75% believe that Trump should not concede the election. An astounding 60% of Trump supporters believe that Trump will be able to overturn the results of the election in court or by some other method.
Even though Joe Biden is moving forward with appointments, a coronavirus task force, and the election is over, more than HALF OF TRUMP VOTERS expect that Donald Trump will be serving a second term. This is a mind virus. If you watch Fox News at night, every anchor is saying this. If you listen to right-wing podcasts or radio programs, they are all practically saying the same thing. Just because Trump goes away in two months, that does not mean that we’ll immediately know how to deal with tens of millions of Americans who don’t think we live in a democracy anymore. Trump still has plenty of time left to continue doing damage to our country.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump Observes Veterans Day by Tweeting Election Conspiracy
Donald Trump emerged from the White House on Wednesday to go to Arlington, Virginia for a Veterans’ Day ceremony. Typically the president will speak at these events, but Trump is so grumpy over his election defeat that he hasn’t spoken in public in over a week. The idea of Trump going to this event to honor people who have made sacrifices for their country is a little unnerving. Trump has never sacrificed anything for the United States. Instead he is trying to scam its citizens and sow distrust in all of our American intuitions. Trump spent much of the rest of Veterans’ Day tweeting about himself, which is no surprise since that’s all he cares about.

One thing that troubles me the most in this post election nightmare is the Donald’s unwavering initiatives to promote violence while he refuses to concede and will continue to be president until January 20th -especially in the context of the upcoming MAGA march. There could be well over 1 million Trump’s cultists in the march whose presence will be a magnet for anti-protests. This may be a bit over the top for many but I believe that Trump would like nothing more than to throw the country into a state of Civil War. The MAGA March could be a catalyst at least for widespread violence and chaos. Trump fired secretary of defense Esper because Esper expressed his total unwillingness to send federal troops into states. Now that Esper has been replaced by someone who would not be against that, the scene has been set for federal troops to be called in to the states to supposedly quash widespread violence sparked by hundreds of thousands of Red Hats. What better way to pull off a COUP than to have federal troops in every state to do Trump’s bidding. 80% of the 70 million pinheads who voted for the Donald still believe the election was rigged by voter fraud. That’s 56 million brainwashed idiots. I won’t breathe a sigh of relief until Crackhead is either removed from office by the Secret Service or concedes and decides to cooperate in the traditional transition process with President elect Biden
