VP Debate: Kamala Crushes Pence As Fly Lands on His Head
The first and only vice presidential debate of the 2020 campaign took place yesterday in Salt Lake City, Utah. The expectation was that Kamala Harris would go in and crush Mike Pence, particularly on the administration’s COVID response and she did just that. The first fifteen minutes from Harris featured some major knockdowns that left Pence struggling to defend the indefensible. The rest of the debate was more even, maybe with a slight edge to Harris. The real winner was the fly that landed on Pence’s head and stayed there for two whole minutes.
There were some interesting moments between the two candidates when discussing the Supreme Court, Trump’s taxes, and climate change. Both candidates, but especially Pence, were in the habit of diverting away from the questions they were being asked and moving onto entirety different topics. Ultimately, this debate was a very normal event which is in stark contrast to last week’s horror show of a presidential debate. However, it’s hard to imagine this VP debate moving the polls even in the slightest amount.
Trump BAILS on 2nd Debate, Won't Do It!
After the vice presidential debate concluded, the non-partisan Commission on Presidential Debates announced that it will be turning the second presidential debate into a virtual town hall. The commission announced, “candidates would participate from separate remote locations.” This news comes in the wake of President Trump testing positive for COVID-19 and likely being infected and contagious at the first debate. It’s unclear whether Trump would even be able to make the second debate if it were in-person because he could still test positive for coronavirus at that point. The commission is doing what it thinks is safest for the two candidates and the dozens of people around them.
Of course, Donald Trump is not happy with the news and he has announced he will not take part in the debate if it is done virtually. The President said “that’s not acceptable to us” and he wants to do a rally on that day now instead. It’s quite possible Trump holds firm and backs out of doing next week’s debate but that would be a massive mistake for him. Since Trump is down in the polls by an RCP average of 9.7%, he needs these debates to make up for lost ground much more than Biden does.
From yesterday’s show:
Joe Biden Delivers Brilliant Speech as Trump Crumbles
Joe Biden delivered remarks this week in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania in what was probably the best speech of his campaign so far. Biden spoke about the division in the country and how Donald Trump is to blame for much of it. He reemphasized that masks should not be viewed as political symbols but rather as tools used to protect other people in society. Biden acted like the leader Trump is incapable of being during this pandemic and offered a different direction for fighting the coronavirus. Comparing this Joe Biden speech to a Trump rally is night and day and it’s obvious who the adult in this race is.

As we all know, flies will seek the foulest odor in a room. They will persist until their appetite is satiated. If this fly had been half as big as Mike Pence it would have quickly sucked him up and then five minutes later regurgitated him. Mike Pence did his own version of blatantly violating the rules, dodging questions and spewing one lie after another and the moderator was pathetic in the way she miss handled it. “Thank you Mr. Vice President, your time is up.“ She would repeat that two or three times and then let my him ramble on. In my opinion, however, Harris was smiling a lot as a defense against her fright of the snake she was debating. She could feel him tightening his tail around her midsection and I believe that it was this feeling that caused her occasional but over the top vapid responses. Mike Pence demonstrated the total fraud that he is with his fake calm and sense of great wisdom. But that was all undermined by his pernicious tactics.
