Many Trump Rioters Didn't Even Vote
CNN conducted an investigation into some of the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol on January 6th, only to find out that many of them didn’t even vote in the 2020 election. At least eight of the people currently facing federal charges for their roles in the riots didn’t vote. These people come from all different backgrounds and are of different ages. These Trump supporters somehow had the time to travel to Washington and possibly even take off work, but they didn’t have the time to cast a ballot themselves. How were these people so sure the election was stolen, when they as diehard Trump fans didn’t even bother to go to their local polling place?
The big picture of this story is that there are many people who complain about the government and believe themselves to be politically active, but they don’t vote. They will share memes on Facebook and tune into cable news commentary shows every night but when it’s time to cast a ballot, they don’t. Typically in presidential elections, half of eligible voters stay home. There is a growing disconnect in this country between what people believe political activism to be and what it actually is. Voting is the most crucial thing citizens must do to take part in the political process, and yet so many don’t do it.
Trump's New Impeachment Lawyer Instantly Humiliates Himself
Donald Trump has a new lawyer for his impeachment defense and it’s evident that he’s not hiring the best people. The attorney is named David Schoen and Trump hired him after his team of five lawyers quit over the weekend. Trump’s old legal team resigned in protest over how Trump wanted to approach the trial. He wanted the lawyers to argue not just that a former president can’t be convicted or that he didn’t incite insurrection, but also that Trump was right all along in arguing that the 2020 election was rigged. Schoen appears willing to do that for Trump, as well as make a whole lot of other bogus legal arguments on his behalf.
Schoen went on Sean Hannity’s show last night to talk about his approach to the trial. He said he might call Democratic senators to testify as “witnesses” over “bias,” which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Trump’s new impeachment lawyer also doesn’t want videos of the insurrection shown at the trial. He said “this has nothing to do with President Trump” even though Trump is the reason there will be an impeachment trial in the first place. At this point, enough Republican senators aren’t likely to turn on Trump to convict him, but at least there will be entertainment value watching the trial unfold in the coming weeks.
From yesterday’s show:
New York Times FURIOUS That Joe Biden Has Done Too Much
The New York Times editorial board wrote an op-ed about how President Biden should lay off the executive orders. In his first two weeks in office, Biden signed dozens of executive actions dealing with everything from rejoining the Paris Climate Accord to halting Trump’s border wall construction project. The Times wants Biden to ease up because “executive actions are far more ephemeral and easily discarded than legislation, which can set up a whipsaw effect, as each president scrambles to undo the work of his predecessor.” While this is true and legislative action is preferable, Biden can undo much of the harm of the Trump years with one stroke of the pen. So he should do it. And then, Democrats can keep winning elections to make sure Biden’s orders don’t also get reversed.

Thanks for doing a great show! My question after listening to a comment about “Q”. If “Q” is anonymous and therefore untouchable He,She,They,It, could incite limitless numbers of people with limitless lies to commit ongoing criminal acts against any chosen target with virtual impunity! That would make He,She,They,It, the most dangerous terrorist on earth and hopefully every branch of law enforcement’s number one target. Shouldn’t it?
