BREAKING: Vaccine Slowed Down, "Unlikely" Before Election Day
Donald Trump has put a lot of stock in the hope that the coronavirus vaccine will become available before Election Day. Trump has been open about how he thinks he will get credit for the vaccine and that it will propel him to reelection. In recent days it has become increasingly unlikely that the vaccine will be released before November 3rd. The FDA has announced it will be tightening up the authorization standards for a vaccine emergency use authorization, which will likely delay until the release until the end of the year or early 2021.
This matters for two major reasons: Firstly, this matters from a public health perspective. We need a vaccine as soon as possible and it is unfortunate that it’s going to take longer than some had hoped. Secondly, this matters politically because Trump wants to take credit for a vaccine. Amazingly, the delay may have been a result of Trump’s impatience. The agency is issuing the guidance to boost transparency and public trust as health experts have become increasingly concerned that the Trump administration might be interfering in the approval process.
Trump Rally Goes HORRIBLY WRONG
Donald Trump held yet another corona-rally near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania yesterday. Trump bragged about how well the commonwealth was supposedly doing before the pandemic. He promised that next year will be the best year yet, seeming to concede that the virus and the economy won’t get under control before 2021. Trump went on to fearmonger about MS-13 “animals,” reporters he disagrees with, and violence in “Democrat-run cities.” Many of the Trump 2020 speeches have become boilerplate at this point.
The President went on to complain about how he doesn’t really have friends anymore because people always have to speak to him with over-the-top praise and respect. He went into his classic “sir” routine, saying that First Lady Melania Trump said “sir, I didn’t see the crowd,” referring to an earlier Trump rally. The idea that Melania would call her husband “sir” is quite strange. All in all, the speech sounded much more like the rantings of a madman on a soapbox than a political event featuring the President of the United States.
From yesterday’s show:
Fox Host CALLS OUT Republican on SCOTUS Hypocrisy
Fox News host Chris Wallace called out Republican hypocrisy on filling Supreme Court vacancies in an election year. Wallace had Senator Tom Cotton on his Sunday show and played tape of Cotton arguing against hearing out Merrick Garland, Barack Obama’s 2016 SCOTUS nominee. Now Cotton, like most of the other Republican Senators, have flip-flopped and want to rush through Trump’s replacement of Ruth Bader Ginsburg with fewer than fifty days remaining until the 2020 election. The hypocrisy is stunning, but these people are such bad actors that they just don’t care.

Impeachment proceedings should be brought against Trump immediately for the many crimes he has committed with his businesses. Why aren’t the Democrats concentrating on this very viable option to impeach Trump to stop his fast track push to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat on Scotus. Apparently the DNC is that feckless.
Disgusting.
