Tucker Carlson's "Series" on Kyle Rittenhouse Is Insane
Tucker Carlson is premiering a new Fox Nation series on the Kyle Rittenhouse trial called The Trial of Kyle. It appears to be a bizarre reality show that portrays Rittenhouse as a hero for killing two people in August of last year. The wackiest portion of the series promo is Carlson’s analogy to Bolshevik-style revolution and anarcho-tyranny in reference to Rittenhouse’s actions. Carlson paints a picture of Rittenhouse as a good citizen who defended Kenosha from hordes of rioters and he criticizes the media’s attacks on Rittenhouse, whom he believes was merely carrying out his civic duty. At the end of the series promo, Rittenhouse is seen wearing a suit on a beach with the narration that he is now free but will “never have the luxury of living a normal life.” The final message to the audience was, “the next time, it could be you,” suggesting that anyone could find themselves in this situation and that Kyle’s actions in the lead up to the shootings had no effect on what took place that day. This will undoubtedly serve as effective propaganda to the Fox audience and further distort what took place that night in Kenosha.
Trump Fundraising Email Couldn't Be More Insane
Donald Trump’s team sent out a fundraising email that claimed he was right about every policy over the last few years. This is the closest thing we’ve seen to a policy platform from Republicans as of late, even though it isn’t genuine. The email read, “have you noticed that the Radical Left is now admitting I was right about everything they LIED about before the Election?” What followed was a list that included things like “Hydroxychloroquine works” which has not been demonstrated to be true, “schools should be opened” which was always an inevitability, and “blue state lockdowns didn’t work” when almost every state shut down in some form during the early stages of the pandemic. This comes across as the policy platform of an ignorant person who has no idea about actual issues facing the country. But sadly, as evidenced by Glenn Youngkin’s victory in Virginia last month and Joe Biden’s declining approval rating, it appears to be working.
From yesterday’s show:
Pelosi REJECTS Stock-Trading Ban for Members of Congress
In the latest example of Democrats making it harder for people to support them, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that she would be opposed to a stock trading ban for members of Congress. Members of Congress are privy to information that could affect the markets and many have been able to capitalize on this information by making trades that turn out to be hugely beneficial for them. The question came up during a recent press conference, and Pelosi responded by saying, “this is a free market — and people — we’re a free market that should be able to participate in that.” Pelosi along with her husband have made a tremendous amount of money by gaming the stock market over the years, so it’s obvious why she wouldn’t support a move like this. But this is the worst way she could have answered the question given that so many people view Congress as corrupt and many believe members should be banned from buying and selling stocks altogether.
From yesterday’s show:
SHOCK Poll: 96% Dems, 54% Republicans Vaccinated
The partisan divide has opened wide up between Democrats and Republicans on COVID vaccination. According to the latest Monmouth University poll, 96% of Democrats say they’ve been vaccinated while only 54% of Republicans have. Thirty percent of Republicans say they will never get the vaccine. Another interesting thing is that those who are not registered to vote are slightly more likely to be vaccinated than those who are. There is also a divide on educational lines with 87% of those with four-year degrees having been vaccinated and only 73% of those without a four-year degree having received the shots. Interestingly, there is no correlation between vaccination rates and income. Seventy-eight percent of those who make under $50,000 a year have been vaccinated. Seventy-seven percent of those who make between $50,000 and $100,000 a year have been vaccinated and those who make over $100,000 are at a 79% vaccination rate. Many months after the vaccines have been made available, being Republican and specifically a Trump supporter is one of the strongest indicators that someone has not gotten the shots.
