HORROR: Trump Goes Full Authoritarian, Will Deploy Military
Donald Trump emerged from his bunker to deliver brief remarks at the White House Rose Garden. Instead of being conciliatory and trying to dial down the tension in America, Trump went full-on authoritarian and threatened to use the military to quell protests. The President wants to use the Insurrection Act to send troops into states most affected by the protests. That action would be against the wishes of governors and would not be in-line with the law’s prior uses.
Trump’s idea is to suppress the voices of protesters who are upset about state-sanctioned violence, with state-sanctioned violence. This is the type of thing that can enrage people further and result in even more unrest. Previously when presidents have used the Insurrection Act against governors, it’s been to fight racist policies. We have gotten it so backwards as a country that now, Trump wants to use that very law to silence minority groups and reinforce an over-militarized police system.
Agitated Trump's Madman Rant, Wants Protesters "Dominated"
Audio has leaked of President Trump ranting against the George Floyd protests and expressing the desire to “dominate” those taking part. Trump said the world was laughing at the United States when a Minneapolis police precinct burnt down last week. The President was pleased that the National Guard had arrived in cities across the country and endorsed the strategy of “you dominate it.”
This is the language of a mob boss. This is not the language of a President of the United States faced with unrest, the likes of which we've not seen for a long time. Trump told governors, “you don't have to be too careful.” In other words, don't be too careful. Do the opposite of being careful. Trump doesn’t know how to lead. He simply doesn’t have the ability to listen. He doesn't have the cognitive capacity to deal with the complexity of this situation. This strategy of ramping up police tactics against civilians who are protesting power-hungry police attests to that.

Trump Flees To Bunker As Biden Visits Protesters
While Washington DC was erupting with protests over the weekend, Donald Trump was moved to a bunker in the White House. Around the same time, Joe Biden was out in public wearing a mask and speaking to actual protesters. The contrast could not be more stark at this point.
