Trump COLLAPSES, Says Troops Who Died "Losers" & "Suckers"
There is a new report out from The Atlantic saying that Donald Trump called Americans who died in war “losers” and “suckers.” The story has been corroborated by the Associated Press, CNN, and even Fox News. Trump back in 2018 was supposed to visit an American cemetery in Paris but decided to cancel last-minute, supposedly because of the rain. While the rain may have been a factor because of what it does to Trump’s hair, the President reportedly gave a second reason for why he didn’t want to go. He expressed that the cemetery was “filled with losers” so he didn’t want to visit.
The fact that this story is being quadruply corroborated by all sorts of news outlets suggests that it is most likely true. It is also similar to comments Trump has made in the past, including his bad-mouthing of the late Senator John McCain. Trump is predictably furious with Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin and the network at large. The real question is, will people in Trump’s base be persuaded out of voting for him based on these comments or will they just dismiss it all as “fake news?”
Trump HUMILIATED: Sources Are Lying AND Don't Exist
Donald Trump held a press conference over the weekend wherein he tried to defend himself against reports that he called Americans who died in war “losers” and “suckers.” The President chose not to seriously address the claims. Instead, Trump attacked his former Chief of Staff, John Kelly, over the allegations and blamed the rain and fog for the last-minute cancellation.
Perhaps the craziest defense was when Trump said the sources for the story are both lying and don’t exist. Obviously, both of those things can’t be true. As Aaron Rupar said on Twitter, it's sort of a “choose your own adventure” here. It doesn’t matter that the explanations contradict each other. Trump hilariously wrapped up the briefing by slamming reporters for asking terrible questions and then thanking them for their time.
From over the weekend:
Are Right Wing Pundits Dangerous?
A live caller asks about whether David thinks conservative political commentators are dangerous. The answer is yes. What this comes down to is that the right’s audience tends to be made up of people who are more easily manipulated. Currently, some right-wing shows are trying to discredit American institutions like the election itself and encourage armed civilians to go out into the streets as counter protesters. There are also far more examples of stochastic terrorism coming from the right than the left.
