Trump Admits to Vaccine Booster, BRUTALLY BOOED by Trumpists
Donald Trump got booed by his own supporters this week for promoting the COVID vaccine and saying that he got the booster shot. Trump was on tour with Bill O’Reilly at another one of his events which failed to draw a sizable crowd. He urged the audience to “take credit” for the vaccine because Operation Warp Speed, which took place under his administration, got the shots developed for the American public in record time. He said, “take credit for it. What we’ve done is historic. Don’t let them take it away. Don’t take it away from ourselves. You’re playing right into their hands.” O’Reilly followed up by mentioning that both he and the ex-president were fully vaccinated and boosted. When some audience members started to boo and jeer them, Trump waved his hand at the crowd and said, “don’t, don’t, don’t.” While it’s definitely a positive thing that Trump’s saying he got vaccinated, the boos explain why he was hesitant to ever give a full-fledged endorsement of the vaccines. Vaccine skepticism is rampant among Trump supporters and he worries more about them turning on him than he does people needlessly dying of COVID.
Joe Manchin Thinks Poor People Can't Be Trusted With Money
Joe Manchin has not done himself any favors ever since going on Fox News and saying he won’t support the Build Back Better Act. According to two insiders who spoke to the Huffington Post, Manchin has been telling his colleagues that he’s against the legislation in part because he believes if the government gives poor people money, they’re just going to spend it on drugs. He was speaking specifically about provisions like the child tax credit that, if extended, would provide families with an additional $3,000 to $3,600 per child. The credit which went out this year has fundamentally changed the lives of millions of Americans and has lifted 30% of children out of poverty. It’s a tired old Republican talking point that if poor people get cash they’ll just use it to buy drugs instead of things like food, shelter, and other basic necessities. If Manchin really did say this (and there is no audio) it would go to show why he generally doesn’t support these social spending programs. But someone who is supposed to be a Democrat with the job of representing one of the poorest states in the union should be above such dense conservative talking points.

UH-OH: Fox News In MAJOR Trouble Over Voting Lawsuit
A federal judge ruled last week that Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against Fox News can move forward. Dominion is suing Fox for $1.6 billion for allegedly allowing hosts and guests to spew lies about their company supposedly rigging voting machines to give Joe Biden the win over Donald Trump. Fox argued that the case should have been dismissed on free speech grounds but failed to persuade the judge. This could force the network’s hand into settling the lawsuit if they wish to avoid private communications from being unveiled to the public and making executives and personalities testify under oath. Dominion is also suing Newsmax, OANN, Sidney Powell, Mike Lindell, and Rudy Giuliani. Given this case was allowed to move forward, that suggests there’s a strong chance the others will as well. Fox and the rest of the defendants could have avoided this legal mess by not discussing the subject of voter fraud altogether or at least Dominion specifically. But they simply couldn’t help themselves because they believed it would help them get in good graces with Donald Trump and his supporters.

OH NO: Young Voters Are Giving Up on Joe Biden
As if things couldn’t look more bleak for Democrats going into the 2022 midterms, President Biden’s approval rating is now significantly underwater among young voters. According to the latest Economist/YouGov poll, Biden has only a 27% approval rating among voters age 18 to 29. In contrast, 50% of voters in that age bracket disapprove. This is especially worrying given that young voters were one of the key demographics that propelled Biden into the presidency in 2020. Perhaps a major reason why Biden’s numbers are being held back is that he has done little so far to address the student debt crisis. Biden promised to eliminate $10,000 of public student loan debt via executive order and that hasn’t happened yet. The president could likely give himself a much needed boost in approval from this demographic with the stroke of a pen. If he doesn’t do this by November of 2022, Democrats could be in a world of trouble trying to hold onto the House and Senate.

With regard to "everyone" screaming that Joe Biden step down, bear in mind that if he does, the job will default to the Vice President, Kamala Harris. If SHE is unable to do the job, the position will go to the Speaker of the House who is next in line. Have a nice day.
