Trump Banned from Facebook for Remainder of Presidency
Facebook announced on Thursday that they have blocked President Trump from its platforms at least until his term expires on January 20th. The social media company appears to have come to an understanding that the words of Trump and his followers inspired the insurrection that took place at the US Capitol building on Wednesday. Trump’s suspension on Twitter has expired and he is back to posting there. He marked his return by posting a short video condemning the violence and effectively conceding the presidential race. The change in tone suggests Trump could be allowed to stay on these social media sites if he calms down his rhetoric.
Donald Trump deserves to be banned from Facebook and Twitter, as he deserves to be impeached or removed from office with the 25th Amendment. The crazy thing is that he deserved that treatment long before the coup attempt at the Capitol. The social media executives and few Republicans speaking out now to punish Trump for his conduct are doing so too late to really make a difference. The time to stop Donald Trump from spreading disinformation and to take power away from him came long ago and they did nothing. At this point, the damage has been done, but at least there will be a new president in just twelve short days.
SHOCK: Trump's AG Accuses Trump of BETRAYAL
Bill Barr, Trump’s former Attorney General, condemned the actions of his former boss on Thursday. Barr said that the president’s conduct was wrong and that “orchestrating a mob to pressure Congress is inexcusable.” Barr was once one of Trump’s most loyal supporters, defending him against the Robert Mueller probe that could have cut his presidency short. But Barr resigned last month in disagreement with Trump’s bogus claims that voter fraud overturned the results of the 2020 presidential election. Barr joined a growing chorus of current and former Trump officials going on record against the president’s incitement that led to the events on Wednesday at the Capitol.

SHOCK: Trump Cabinet Members Considering REMOVAL Via 25th Amendment
Members of Donald Trump’s cabinet are considering invoking the 25th Amendment in order to remove the president from office before his term expires on January 20th. Mike Pence and a majority of the cabinet would need to sign onto a letter to Congress stating that the president is no longer fit for office. It is not likely to happen at this point, since Pence has not expressed an interest in doing it despite being reportedly furious with Trump. Secretaries Elaine Chao and Betsy DeVos resigned in protest over Wednesday’s insurrection and it’s unclear there would be enough cabinet secretaries left to reach a majority. At this point, impeachment and even prosecution seem like more likely courses of action against the outgoing president than invoking the 25th Amendment.
