Trump already hates his new criminal lawyer, FURIOUS
Donald Trump is reportedly upset with his defense lawyer, Todd Blanche, as troubles brew in his first of four criminal trials. Trump's discontent stems from Blanche's perceived lack of aggression in court and the hefty fees associated with his legal defense. Despite Blanche's efforts to cater to Trump's wishes, such as emphasizing Trump's business success in his opening statement, Trump remains dissatisfied. Trump's history of non-payment to lawyers and his inclination to believe he knows more than legal experts creates a poor environment for his legal team. Uncertainty looms over the future of Trump's legal proceedings, considering his growing dissatisfaction with Blanche and the potential for an appeal or conviction. Overall, Trump's discontent with Blanche and the dynamics of his legal defense team set the stage for a complex and unpredictable legal battle ahead.
Trump glitches badly at rally, crowd confused
Donald Trump held a rally in Freeland, Michigan, following a similar event in Waukesha, Wisconsin, both held on the same day. Trump predicted an economic downturn before the November elections, falsely asserting “plunging” GDP numbers under Joe Biden. Trump's repeated false assertions regarding abortion sentiments among Democrats came alongside debunked claims about late-term abortions and post-birth executions. Trump's dissemination of falsehoods and his diminishing rally engagement raise doubts about their effectiveness in attracting new supporters. With his trial resuming in New York yesterday, Trump had to leave the midwest after these events to show up back in court.
From yesterday’s show:
This is what happens when you ask Trump for proof
During a recent interview, Donald Trump made a baseless claim about Venezuela exporting crime to the United States and was subsequently asked by the interviewer to cite his source. Trump stumbled, saying it came from the papers, and then from a ”federal statement” before suggesting the numbers came from Venezuelan sources. This exchange underscores the effectiveness of simply asking Trump where he gets his information as it quickly exposes his lack of credibility. The exchange underscores the absurdity of Trump's claims and his tendency to falter when confronted with scrutiny. Moments like these remind the public why Trump is exclusively doing friendly interviews at this stage of his political career.
From yesterday’s show:
Kristi Noem doubles down on puppy killing
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem went on Sean Hannity’s show this week to respond to criticism surrounding her inclusion of a dog-killing incident in her forthcoming memoir. Defending herself against mounting backlash, Noem doubled down on her decision during the softball interview, attributing the controversy to media misrepresentation. She reiterated the circumstances leading to the dog being shot, citing its aggression and threat to livestock. However, at the very least sharing this story puts Noem’s judgment in question, as it is seemingly obvious that people would be upset by it. Additionally, Noem seeking refuge on Hannity's sympathetic platform shows an adherence to the Trumpian playbook of blaming the media for negative coverage. Overall, Noem misstepped by including this anecdote in her memoir and it could ultimately cost her the vice presidential nomination.
