Republican STUNS Fox News host in TikTok debate gone wrong
In a peculiar turn of events, Republican Senator Rand Paul defended TikTok during an interview with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade of Fox & Friends. Paul accused Kilmeade of defaming TikTok, an accusation that visibly bewildered Kilmeade. The conversation delved into TikTok's data storage practices and ownership structure, with Paul vehemently defending the company against Kilmeade's skepticism. Kilmeade raised concerns about foreign influence and data security, prompting Paul to counter with arguments about the company's private ownership and shareholder makeup. The discussion reflects a broader debate over TikTok's future in the United States, with some advocating for bans or forced divestment while others, including Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, emphasize the need for robust privacy regulations applicable to all entities operating in the country. Concerns about foreign ownership and data privacy persist, prompting ongoing scrutiny and debate over the platform's role and regulation in the digital landscape.
Pathetic Tulsi Gabbard BEGS to be Trump's VP
Former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard's recent plea to become Donald Trump's Vice President is drawing criticism for blatant pandering and opportunism. In a video exchange with Donald Trump Jr., Gabbard expressed her eagerness to serve alongside Trump and assist in executing his policies, a stance that contradicts her previous image as a progressive anti-war advocate. Over the past few years, Gabbard has aligned herself more and more with the right wing and Trump's agenda despite her past criticisms of his administration. The exchange has reignited debates over Gabbard's political ideology and motivations, with some accusing her of abandoning progressive principles for personal gain. Critics argue that her willingness to support Trump's policies undermines her credibility as a genuine liberal voice, prompting disillusionment among former supporters who once viewed her as a beacon of authenticity.
From yesterday’s show:
DESPERATE Lauren Boebert has BONKERS new conspiracy theory
Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert of Colorado has stirred controversy with her latest conspiracy theory regarding the resignation of fellow Republican Congressman Ken Buck. Boebert alleges a coordinated effort between establishment Republicans and Democrats to orchestrate Buck's departure strategically to undermine her candidacy. She accuses the system of rigging the election, portraying herself as the victim of political machinations. After the news came out, Boebert decided not to pursue the special election nomination and instead to focus on the Republican primary for the November election. Ultimately, the upcoming primary will determine the trajectory of Boebert's political career, with many hoping for a rejection of her divisive tactics at the polls.
From yesterday’s show:
You won't believe who Katie Britt is blaming for her disastrous SOTU response
Republican Senator Katie Britt is deflecting blame for her botched response to Joe Biden's State of the Union address, shifting responsibility onto the media in a shameless fundraising appeal. Despite widespread mockery of her speech, which was criticized even within her own party, Britt accuses the media of attacking her character and identity as a mother and wife. In a predictable move, instead of apologizing for her misleading remarks, Britt doubled down, invoking identity politics and portraying herself as silenced for being a conservative woman. Her attempt to link Biden's policies to a 20-year-old sex trafficking incident backfired, earning her four Pinocchios from fact-checkers. Fellow conservative Ted Cruz joined in, claiming Britt is targeted because she's a conservative mother. However, this narrative conveniently ignores the truth and underscores the hypocrisy of the GOP, which preaches personal responsibility while deflecting blame onto others. Britt and Cruz's self-victimization tactics epitomize the party's refusal to take accountability in today's media landscape.

I’m leaving a post that has nothing to do with your actual Podcasts.
I have been happily noticing that commercials and programming on television are including a lot more people of color. It’s fantastic. I am a little old lady of Jewish descent. I’ve been an atheist for a long time, but I am still a Jew.
My friends who are POC think of me as one of the ‘oppressors’. I try to explain that I am not ‘white’.
I think of them as the ‘oppressed’, in that they have been under represented.
I believe that there was a change after George Floyd was murdered.
I HOPE I am right.
Thanks for the work you are doing.

David, I really wanted to share my feelings about the person who doesn’t read fiction. It makes me sad for him.
He’s never been in a secret garden.
He’s never been on a volcanic island full of eccentric diamond millionaires.
He’s never watched a tree grow in Brooklyn.
I must hope he is one of a very few and not a great many Americans.
He doesn’t just say he hasn’t read them. He says he thinks it’s a bad idea.
