Terrified Trump EXPLODES after Dems take George Santos' seat
In last night’s special election to replace expelled former Congressman George Santos, Democrat Tom Suozzi defeated Republican Mazi Melesa Pilip by eight percentage points. Donald Trump reacted to the defeat on Truth Social, arguing Pilip lost because she didn’t support him. Trump wrote, “Republicans just don’t learn, but maybe she was still a Democrat? I have an almost 99% Endorsement Success Rate in Primaries, and a very good number in the General Elections, as well, but just watched this very foolish woman, Mazi Melesa Pilip, running in a race where she didn’t endorse me and tried to ‘straddle the fence,’ when she would have easily WON if she understood anything about MODERN DAY politics in America.” This defeat by Republicans could be a bellwether for the 2024 presidential election, however, it could also be too unique a scenario to draw broader conclusions about a national race.
Republicans impeach Homeland Security Secretary (???)
Republicans in the House of Representatives have impeached Joe Biden's Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas. This decision was made amidst accusations of failures at the US-Mexico border, with Mayorkas being accused of obstructing oversight and undermining immigration laws. The vote, 214 to 213, marks only the second time in US history that a cabinet secretary has been impeached. However, despite Republican celebrations, the impeachment is largely symbolic, as it is expected to fail in the Senate which Democrats control. The impeachment is a politically motivated attempt to virtue signal rather than address genuine concerns about immigration policy. The broader implications of this move remain to be seen, particularly in the context of the upcoming November elections, where the Republican Party's actions may face scrutiny from voters.
From yesterday’s show:
After Putin humiliation, Tucker says Moscow better than any US city
Tucker Carlson praised the city of Moscow, calling it superior to American cities, following his softball interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Carlson's rhetoric seemingly aligns with Putin's narrative, downplaying Russia's economic challenges and promoting Moscow's image. Critics accuse Carlson of unwittingly serving Putin's agenda by downplaying Russia's actions in Ukraine and glorifying Moscow. While this doesn’t necessarily make Tucker a Russian puppet, it certainly puts into question his journalistic integrity and suggests he’s playing into Russian propaganda. The selection of Carlson for the interview was strategic by Putin, using him as a useful idiot who could amplify hiw own message through American media.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump's brain fails AGAIN at sick rally, corporate media ignore it
The media have largely been ignoring instances of Donald Trump’s cognitive decline, even though the former president has made a number of flubs during recent public appearances. Despite Trump's repeated errors, such as mistaking Viktor Orban for the leader of Turkey instead of Hungary and thinking Barack Obama is still president, conservative circles seemingly overlook these gaffes. This lack of scrutiny contrasts sharply with the intense scrutiny Biden faces, not only by the right-wing press but also by the mainstream media. The crucial point isn't merely comparing cognitive decline between the two but recognizing the potential dangers of a cognitively declining Trump in contrast to Biden, who has had numerous accomplishments, surrounded himself with competent individuals, and effectively governed despite claims of cognitive decline.
