Nikki Haley drops another brutal Trump dementia bomb
Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has intensified her critique of Donald Trump, alleging cognitive decline during a CBS interview. Specifically, Haley cited Trump’s recent brain glitch at a rally, when he confused Haley with Nancy Pelosi and blamed her for failing to provide security at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Trump, in response, disparaged Haley on Truth Social, calling her "birdbrain" and expressing strong disdain for her candidacy. Haley further criticized Trump's policies on CNBC, pointing out his role in accumulating $8 trillion in national debt, praising China's President Xi during the COVID-19 pandemic, and proposing broad tariffs that would raise prices for Americans. Despite her pointed criticisms, Haley will likely end up endorsing Trump after he presumably defeats her in the primary.
Trump seems to fire Alina Habba after she lost $83 million of his money
Former President Donald Trump appears to have severed ties with his lawyer, Alina Habba, after initially praising her as one of the best. This decision follows Habba's involvement in Trump's defamation case, which resulted in an $83.3 million verdict against him in favor of E. Jean Carroll. Trump took to Truth Social to announce that he is interviewing various law firms for his appeal, denouncing the trial as a "ridiculous and unfair witch hunt" led by a Clinton-appointed, partisan judge. Trump criticized Judge Lewis Kaplan, alleging bias and unfairness during the proceedings. The development further disproves Trump's claim of hiring the best people, as Habba's dismissal follows a string of legal challenges for the former president. The nature of Trump's future legal representation remains uncertain, and the episode underscores the challenges he faces in securing legal counsel.

Republican takes credit for bill she voted against, host humiliates her
Reporter Jim DeFede confronted Republican Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar over her hypocrisy during a TV interview. Salazar voted against the Chips and Science Act but later took credit in her district for the funds allocated by that very bill. DeFede exposed this inconsistency, leaving the congresswoman unsure of how to respond. Despite voting against the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, Salazar presented a check for $650,000 to small businesses in her district. When pressed about her votes, Salazar struggled to provide coherent responses, emphasizing the positive impact of funds she claimed to have brought to her district. The exchange showcased a recurring pattern among Republicans who disapprove of government spending publicly while privately taking credit for the financial benefits it brings to their districts.

Fox & Trump triggered by ANOTHER stock market record under Biden
The stock market continues to mark record highs, leaving Trump and Fox News on their heels and trying to find a way to disconnect the performance from Joe Biden. They are doing a mix of saying it’s due to Trump's past policies and speculating on his potential future return to office. Trump had previously remarked that a stock market crash would happen under President Biden, and instead, it has boomed with the Dow Jones Industrial Average crossing 38,000 for the first time. The stock market and the economy more generally tend to perform better under Democratic presidents, and Joe Biden is largely continuing that trend, which is worrying Trump and Republicans who wanted to run on the economy ahead of November’s election.
