Trump Humiliated As Fox Interview Goes Bad Quickly
Donald Trump did an interview with Mark Levin on Fox News to promote his upcoming picture book, Our Journey Together. Most presidents write memoirs after they leave office, but Trump has instead decided to put together a book full of images of key moments from his presidency accompanied by tweet-like captions. Trump opened the interview with Levin with lies about the US economy, like saying the US average gasoline price a year ago was $1.87 when it was actually $2.20. Trump then brought up foreign policy, and bragged about his relationship with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un: “If you remember little rocket man and the buttons . . . it was nasty and then all of a sudden it ended.” On COVID, Trump mentioned the flu pandemic of 1918 and repeated the lies that it began in 1917 and that it may have even ended World War I. Trump went on to use the common Republican talking points that Democrats are trying to subvert the Constitution and promote communism. This was an incredibly embarrassing interview of the former president but so many Fox viewers will come away from it missing their dear leader and sold on ordering his new picture book.
WARNING: Democrats Facing Historic, Disastrous Defeat in 2022
Democrats are in a difficult position heading into the 2022 midterms and it could mean they’re positioned to lose the House of Representatives and maybe even the Senate. The first midterm is typically bad for the party of a new president and to make matters worse, redistricting will make it so that Republicans should be able to win a disproportionate number of seats relative to their total vote counts. Political scientist and former TDPS guest Rachel Bitecofer said that Democrats should be sounding a “ten alarm fire” over the midterms. She said in an interview with Salon’s Chauncey DeVega, “the Democratic coalition ebbs and flows in terms of turnout. Some of those voters are going to be Democrats and others are independents who tend to vote for Democratic candidates. There are certain demographics where this ends to happen in terms of turnout, such as with younger voters and minorities.” If Democrats cannot provide their base with enough reasons to vote, they’ll largely stay at home which will spell trouble for the party. Republicans, on the other hand, are fired up by certain economic indicators, critical race theory, and memes and rallying cries like “Let’s Go Brandon.” If this pattern does not turn around over the next year, Democrats can expect to once again hand over a tremendous amount of control in the federal government to the Republican Party.

Milo Yiannopoulos Now Selling Virgin Mary Statues
Milo Yiannopoulos has had a tremendous fall from grace out of his old right-wing media circles and now he’s resorting to shilling products on a Christian version of the Home Shopping Network. It’s called “Church Militant” and in the show’s first episode, Milo and his co-host were selling statuettes of the Virgin Mary. The pair explained that it was available in both a silver and bronze finish and came at a cost of $87.50. They also sell items like bibles, mediation booklets, mugs, and much more. This is quite the transition for Milo who used to appear on all of the popular conservative TV shows and podcasts. In 2017, Yiannopoulos was accused of advocating for pedophilia, saying that he had had relationships with men when he was a boy and saying that he viewed them as positive experiences. Ever since then, many on the right have blacklisted him and Milo has had to come up with new ways to rebrand. Apparently, appearing on this “Church Militant” program is one of the few opportunities still available to him.

Toe-Curling Trump Propaganda Aimed at Kids
The American right-wing loves to claim that Democrats are indoctrinating children into agreeing with their viewpoints on politics and culture. It turns out that it’s actually the right attempting to do this as evidenced by a new propaganda book marketed directly to children called “The Kid’s Guide.” One edition is called “The Kid’s guide to Fighting Socialism” and another is called “The Kid’s Guide to President Trump.” Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee is behind the project and the bundle is offered as a subscription service for $20.99 a month. The booklets even pretend to be objective with the message promoting them reading, “The Kids Guide to President Trump is unbiased and will help your kids learn everything there is to know, from his election in 2016 and his greatest accomplishments as president.” This is the exact indoctrination and propaganda that conservative project about but for whatever reasons they don’t believe these same criticisms apply to them when they make content for children.
