Trump BRAIN COLLAPSE when asked SIMPLE question
During Donald Trump's recent appearance at the Economic Club of New York, his response to a question on making child care more affordable quickly unraveled into a confusing and incoherent explanation, where he vaguely linked tariffs on foreign nations to funding child care. His disjointed statements left many baffled, as he failed to articulate a clear plan, instead offering irrelevant numbers and rambling about unrelated economic topics. Despite the lack of substance, some audience members, many of whom were well-versed in economics, applauded. Trump later struggled with a question about the fiscal deficit, again failing to provide a coherent answer and instead offering random statements that veered off-topic. His performance has been widely criticized as one of the most disjointed and confusing moments of his 2024 campaign.
Trump describes sexual assault as STUNNED lawyers look on
Over the weekend, Donald Trump made headlines by discussing an alleged sexual assault he’s accused of, much to the dismay of his lawyers who were visibly horrified as they watched. During a public speech, Trump bizarrely recounted details of the incident, describing how a woman claimed that they had become intimate on a flight in 1979. He denied the allegations, claiming the event never happened and mocking the impracticality of the situation. He further tried to discredit the woman by mentioning her political affiliations. His lawyers seemed visibly uncomfortable as Trump appeared to give fuel to further defamation claims, revisiting each detail of the story. Despite the bizarre nature of his comments, one of his lawyers, Alina Habba, defended him, claiming she had never witnessed any inappropriate behavior. Trump’s speech concluded with him stating that the upcoming debate against Kamala Harris would be rigged, suggesting bias from the hosting network, ABC. The entire episode left many questioning his legal strategy and public approach to the ongoing legal battles.
From yesterday’s show:
The Bernie to Trump pipeline
The "Bernie to Trump" pipeline refers to how some supporters of Bernie Sanders transitioned to supporting Donald Trump, despite their significant policy differences. This shift can be attributed to the shared populist rhetoric between Sanders and Trump, which taps into a deep frustration with the political establishment. Both campaigns resonated with voters who felt the system was rigged against the average person. However, while Bernie’s populism focused on economic justice and progressive policies, Trump’s rhetoric centered on nationalism, anti-immigrant sentiments, and opposition to globalization. The common thread is anti-establishment sentiment, which can mislead some voters into switching allegiances. Misinformation and propaganda have also contributed to this shift by portraying Trump as a champion of the working class, despite his personal history of labor violations and elite upbringing. The danger of populist rhetoric lies in its lack of a coherent policy framework, allowing for drastically different solutions to similar grievances. The key takeaway is the need for progressives to clearly distinguish between left and right-wing populism, focusing on concrete policy ideas rather than generalized populist messaging, to prevent this kind of political crossover.

LOL: Fox host & guest AGREE Kamala's tax deduction a GOOD idea
Recently, Fox Business host Stuart Varney and Republican National Committee chair Michael Whatley acknowledged that Kamala Harris's proposal for a $50,000 tax credit for small business startups is a good idea. The proposal aims to reduce financial barriers for entrepreneurs, enabling startups to allocate resources more effectively and stimulate local economies by creating demand for goods and services. While Whatley expressed doubt that Harris will follow through on the plan or reduce red tape, the tax credit aligns with Republican claims of supporting entrepreneurship by making it easier for new businesses to launch. This approach may have a more substantial impact on economic growth than traditional tax cuts for the wealthy, which often lead to savings rather than direct economic stimulation.
