ANOTHER Scam: Foxconn Abandons $10 Billion Trump Project
We have been covering the scams, grifts, and crony con-jobs that have been many of the contracts given out by the Trump administration. This next one is about one of these “deals” that Trump made back in 2016 and 2017. Years ago, the former president would often brag about convincing the Taiwanese electronics manufacturing company Foxconn to build a giant factory in Wisconsin. The agreement was that Foxconn would build a $10 billion factory and hire about 13,000 workers. It was believed that this factory could put Wisconsin on the map as a new tech hub while at the same time bringing back American manufacturing jobs. Trump once referred to this deal as “the eighth wonder of the world” and the company was treated to huge fanfare at the White House back in 2017.
Back at the time the contract was announced, some of us were suspicious. Foxconn is a sly company with a charismatic founder and chairman, Terry Gou. There were reports at the time from executives at Foxconn that this wasn’t going to happen because the LCD panel suppliers that would be used to make the televisions at the proposed factory were nowhere near Wisconsin. Four years later, the project never began as described and now the company announced they are scaling back the factory significantly. Now, Foxconn says that they will be making a $672 million investment, a 93% reduction from the original plan with 1,454 new jobs — an 89% reduction from the number originally promised. Whether the Trump administration was swindled by Foxconn is unclear, but this is yet another example of the former president making big promises and then taking all the credit for an announcement for something that never actually comes to fruition.
People Climbing Over Trump's Wall with $5 Ladder
People are climbing over Donald Trump’s $15 billion southern border wall with ladders that cost as little as $5 in raw materials. Border patrol officials are regularly finding scattered ladders near the wall in certain parts of Texas where immigrants cross the border. Texas resident and activist Scott Nicol said about this, “unlike the wall, these ladders are functional." It should come as no surprise that people are so easily able to scale the wall, but this is precisely what Trump said would not happen if he had a chance at power. The former president promised a giant, impenetrable wall along the entire southern border paid for by Mexico. Instead, we got dozens of miles of reinforced bollard fencing paid for by the taxpayers of the United States. And apparently, it wasn’t worth the investment, because people can defeat Trump’s $15 billion wall with a $5 ladder.

Beyond Satire: Trump Press Secy Says Presidents Shouldn't "Inflame Tensions"
In a segment beyond parody, Trump White House Press Secretary turned Fox News commentator Kayleigh McEnany criticized Joe Biden for inflaming tensions and not being presidential in the aftermath of the Derek Chauvin verdict. Biden delivered a couple of statements on the George Floyd trial, one when the jury was sequestered and one after the guilty verdicts were announced. McEnany said with a straight face on Fox, “I think it’s the role of the president of the United States to stay back, to not inflame the tensions.” She went on to say, “it’s such a tinderbox moment and I think he should have just reserved comment and said he’s praying for the family as we all are.” This was an astounding take coming from McEnany, who defended Trump when he “inflamed tensions” by inciting a riot to attack the Capitol on January 6th. Trump was certainly not one to choose his words carefully or hold off on giving his opinion on current events. This is as hypocritical of a statement as it gets from Kayleigh McEnany but there will always be a place for her on right-wing media.
