OH NO: Trump Said Hitler "Did a Lot of Good Things"
There's a new report out that — while shocking, shouldn't be hugely surprising to anybody who's been paying attention to American politics for the last 6 years. That is that while serving as president, Donald Trump told his Chief of Staff at the time, John Kelly, that Adolf Hitler did a lot of “good things.” The assertion comes from Wall Street Journal reporter Michael Bender for his book Frankly, We Did Win This Election. According to the reporting, the comments took place in 2018 during a visit to Europe for the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. Trump is quoted as saying “well, Hitler did a lot of good things.” The comments reportedly “stunned” John Kelly. The context of the statement was that Kelly had to explain to Trump the origins of World War I, which countries were on which side, and how it led up to the Holocaust and the Second World War.
Trump’s new spokesperson Liz Harrington denied the statement ever being made by Trump, releasing a statement that read: “This is totally false. President Trump never said this. It is made-up fake news, probably by a general who was incompetent and was fired.” However, Bender has multiple sources on this taking place. There were reportedly people in the room pushing back at Trump, saying things like “no, Hitler didn’t do great things” leading to pushback from the former president. The book more generally outlines how clueless Trump was about every aspect of world and US history. One passage of the book reads, “senior officials described his understanding of slavery, Jim Crow, or the Black experience in general post-civil war as vague to non-existent. But Trump’s indifference to Black history was similar to his disregard for the history of any race, religion or creed.” It’s all crazy but knowing how dim and bigoted the ex-president is, it should come to us as no surprise.
AGAIN: Marjorie Taylor Greene Says Biden Vaccine Push Like Nazis
Marjorie Taylor Greene keeps comparing Democratic policies to things the Nazis did. Just a few weeks ago, Greene was pressured into visiting the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC and to provide a statement on how the Holocaust was really bad after flippantly comparing it to mask guidelines on the House floor put in place by Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Apparently, that apology wasn’t sincere at all, since now she is back to comparing COVID policy to the World War II era. Greene put out a tweet a few days ago reading, “Biden pushing a vaccine that is NOT FDA approved shows covid is a political tool used to control people. People have a choice, they don’t need your medical brown shirts showing up at their door ordering vaccinations. You can’t force people to be part of the human experiment.” “Brown shirts” is a reference to early Nazi militia members who served under Hitler during his rise to power.
Clearly, Marjorie Taylor Greene only apologized about her initial Holocaust reference as a way to avoid getting censured again in the House. It’s also evident that this is someone who can’t get away from making references to Hitler and the Nazis even when they don’t even come close to being applicable. In this case, the reference was made as a way to criticize Joe Biden’s plan to “go community-by-community, neighborhood-by-neighborhood” to offer vaccines to people who haven’t yet received them. The key word, of course, is “offer” as this is by no means being mandated by the government. Vaccinations are simply being encouraged and being made readily available. This comes nowhere near Nazi treatment of Jews and other marginalized groups during the World War II era, but Greene is so desperate to make the comparison at every turn, that she does so even when it doesn’t make the slightest bit of sense.
From yesterday’s show:
Tucker Carlson: NSA Leaked My Emails to Journalists
Tucker Carlson continues to make baseless claims on his nighttime Fox News propaganda program. This time it’s that the National Security Agency (NSA) has been spying on him and reviewing his text and emails. He even goes as far as to say that the NSA has leaked the contents of his communications to journalists in an effort to discredit him. Tucker says that the news comes to him from a whistleblower and that the NSA won’t specifically deny the allegations. Much like with his prior assertion, that FBI operatives participated in the January 6th Capitol riots, Carlson has failed to provide a shred of evidence to back up his claim. People are just supposed to take Tucker at his word, which is worth nothing to centrist and progressive audiences, but worth everything to his conservative viewers. And the truth is that he’ll never need to provide the evidence because he’ll be able to make the allegations unchallenged and his audience will take them as facts. As the weeks go on, Tucker will simply move on to the next baseless assertion without ever circling back to why this one had any credibility in the first place.

David, Thank you for being an objective voice of researched truth. Main stream media , and the White House, is accepting way too much for the lawless lies and propaganda, as just, "politics". Actually, no. Our Democracy is being "dumbed down". Trump knew what to do. Cast dispersions on the credible media sources, propagandizing that they were "just a smear engine" for him and the Republican Party. Mitch McConnell's areas of political concerns are so small, and so obvious. They consist of the needs and wishes of his , and the Party's , "big money donors". That's it, and has been for years. The new firings of those Trump put into place at the Social Security Administration needs TO BE HIGHLIGHTED. The Republicans want to dismantle and privatize SS. Many people would change their vote, if they clearly understood the dogmatic goals of the Republican Party about their hard earned monies that are faithfully paid into SS, and in some cases, those retired, trying to expect their monies can still be collected. Please David, highlight the middle class needs, versus the "Hatchet to Humanity", Republican Party. Thank you, David, Susan L. Morris
