LOL: SCOTUS rejects appeal, Marjorie Taylor Greene must pay $100,000 in mask fines
The saga of Marjorie Taylor Greene's defiance of House mask mandates during the Covid era appears to be nearing its conclusion, as the Supreme Court rejected an appeal from her and other Republican lawmakers. The justices declined to intervene in the case, which stemmed from fines imposed on Greene and others for flouting mask rules on the House floor. Lower courts had previously ruled that Congress's internal rules were beyond judicial jurisdiction. Despite opposition from House Republican leaders to the mask mandate, lawyers representing the current House speaker, MAGA Mike Johnson, supported the decision, emphasizing that the case did not concern the wisdom or scientific basis of the rule. Greene, who has accrued fines totaling around $100,000, is expected to pay the penalties deducted from her pay. The episode underscores broader issues of elected officials flouting rules for personal reasons like raising their public profile.
Trump is QUICKLY running out of money
Recent reports from The Daily Beast shed light on Donald Trump's worsening financial woes, particularly in the aftermath of his presidency. Trump's fundraising efforts are faltering, with his Save America Leadership PAC reporting a paltry $8,500 in donations for January 2024, a stark contrast to the $3.9 million spent during the same period. The bulk of these expenditures, nearly $3 million, went towards legal fees stemming from Trump's numerous legal battles. Meanwhile, Trump's campaign faced a net loss of over $2.6 million in January, despite raising $8.8 million and spending $11.5 million. This financial strain is attributed to the mounting costs of legal defense and the ongoing efforts to sustain a national presidential campaign. Notably, Nikki Haley managed to out-raise Trump during this period, exacerbating concerns about Trump's financial viability. With legal troubles mounting and significant donor support dwindling, Trump faces considerable challenges in his bid for political relevance and electoral success.

MyPillow Mike Lindell MUST PAY man who debunked him $5 million
Mike Lindell, MyPillow CEO and founder, has been ordered by a judge to pay $5 million to Bob Zeidman, who successfully debunked Lindell's claims of election interference by foreign actors in the 2020 election. Lindell had offered the sum to anyone who could disprove his voter fraud assertions. Seidman's scrutiny of Lindell's touted evidence revealed it to be devoid of any substantiating data related to the election or the promised packet capture information. Lindell's offer to pay Seidman backfired when Seidman proved his claims false, something that has been confirmed by an arbitration panel and upheld by a court. Seidman rightfully deserves the reward for his efforts in debunking Lindell’s misinformation. While Lindell's financial status has been questioned due to his business's decline, it’s believed he still has the $5 million he needs to pay Zeidman.

Trump abortion plan leaks, IT'S INSANE
Recently leaked information revealing Trump's abortion policy for his 2024 presidential campaign is causing a stir in political circles. Trump, who previously championed anti-abortion rhetoric, is now privately supporting a 16-week abortion ban with exceptions. This revelation contrasts sharply with his public ambiguity and raises questions about the consistency of his authority positions. The leaked details come at a crucial time, as they highlight the challenges faced by the Republican Party post-Roe v Wade. Despite prior promises and fundraising efforts centered around overturning Roe v Wade, Republicans have suffered losses in both referenda and candidate elections. Trump's pivot towards supporting a federal abortion ban further complicates matters, particularly as it challenges conservative principles of states' rights. Critics argue that such a ban would interfere with individual medical decisions and could have significant political ramifications, potentially energizing Democrats and undermining Republican electoral prospects.
