Tucker Carlson TRASHES AMERICA in Bizarre Speech to Foreign Authoritarian
Tucker Carlson has been in the central-European nation of Hungary all week hanging out with Vikor Orban, the nation’s prime minister who has been dubbed “Trump before Trump.” Carlson gave a speech in the city of Esztergom about how he loves the architecture of the country and specifically the bullet holes that can be found in some of the buildings. Tucker said that he wanted to live in a place with these signs of conflict because “every morning you look at them and you think to yourself it could be really bad because it’s been really bad. There’s a lot at stake. Make wise, sober, long-term decisions or else you could wind up with more bullet holes.” It’s not believable at all that Swanson heir and Fox News host Tucker Carlson would want to live in a city with bullet holes in the buildings but he managed to get the audience to applaud for that line.
As if the speech couldn’t get any nuttier, Tucker went on to badmouth the United States which, according to many conservatives, should never be done by Americans who are abroad. Right-wing commentators, many with Fox News shows, bashed President Obama for going on a so-called “apology tour” around the world during his presidency. Of course Tucker, as the largest conservative pundit going, won’t face any backlash from his right-wing audience over the remarks. He said during the speech, “if I would level, and I could spend all day, leveling very accurate accusations against the American foreign policy establishment, the main one would be that they have no sense of how bad things can get. And this is the bad side of the upside of America.” If a CNN or MSNBC host had made the same statement, Fox News and other right-wing outlets would do hours of coverage on it. Since it’s Tucker Carlson leveling the criticisms, Fox and its audience will support every word he has to say.
YES: Military to MANDATE COVID Vaccines
The Pentagon issued a plan backed by President Joe Biden that starting in mid-September, all members of the US military will have to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated in a memorandum that that timeline could be pushed up if the FDA sooner announces full approval of one of the vaccines. Pentagon officials emphasized the importance of getting the troops vaccinated, calling it necessary to maintain military readiness. President Biden said in a statement: “I strongly support Secretary Austin’s message to the Force today on the Department of Defense’s plan to add the COVID-19 vaccine to the list of required vaccinations for our service members not later than mid-September.” This was obviously the right move from the Department of Defense, but it’s not going to come without backlash. There are many right-wing members of the US military who are not going to be willing to go along with this new mandate (even though plenty of other vaccines are required for servicemembers). The irony of this is that the same people who believe the military is going too “woke” are also too afraid to get a vaccine already taken by hundreds of millions of people and that has been overwhelmingly proven to be safe and effective.
From yesterday’s show:
Ex-Newsmax Host BEGS Friends To Get Vaccinated Before Dying of COVID
A right-wing radio and former Newsmax host named Dick Farrel died last week at the age of 65 due to complications from COVID-19. Farrel was one of the voices on the right calling coronavirus a “scamdemic” and lambasting Dr. Anthony Fauci as a “lying freak.” After contracting COVID, Farrel expressed regret for not getting the vaccine. He sent text messages to his closest friends messages like “get it!” and “I wish I had gotten it!” Farrel’s friend Amy Leigh Hair told an affiliate of NBC: “I was one of one the people like him who didn’t trust the vaccine. I trusted my immune system. I just became more afraid of getting COVID-19 than I was of any possible side effects of the vaccine. I’m glad I got vaccinated.” Farrel’s passing was most likely avoidable and this is not the first story about someone having a deathbed conversion about the virus and the vaccine. Perhaps there’s a chance that this news will convince fans of his and others who hear about the story to go get vaccinated. The sooner we get more people convinced about the seriousness of the virus and the safety of the vaccines, the more quickly we can bring an end to this pandemic.
