Shocking Trump Riot Texts from Fox News Hosts Exposed
As the Capitol insurrection was underway on January 6th, several Fox News hosts were pleading with Trump’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to convince the president to tell his supporters to end the riot. More information is being revealed about this due to the ongoing congressional investigations into what exactly happened during the lead up to the riots. According to Republican Senator Liz Cheney, Meadows was exchanging text messages with Laura Ingraham, Brian Kilmeade, and Sean Hannity. Ingraham said to Meadows, “Trump needs to tell people in the Capitol to go home. This is hurting all of us. He is destroying his legacy.” Kilmeade said to Meadows, “please get him on TV, destroying everything you have accomplished.” And Hannity told him, “can he make a statement, ask people to leave the Capitol?” In the following days and weeks, these Fox hosts would go on to downplay that attacks at the Capitol and in some cases propagate conspiracy theories about what took place. Just about everyone in the right-wing media sphere knew that what Trump was a dereliction of his duty as president, yet they continued to support him anyway.
Dr. Oz FURIOUS That He Won't Be Called Doctor"
Dr. Mehmet Oz, know for hosting “The Dr. Oz Show,” announced last month that he is running to be a US Senator from Pennsylvania. He now claims that the Philadelphia Inquirer is trying to “cancel” him by not calling him “Dr. Oz,” choosing instead to refer to him as “Mehmet Oz” when covering the race. The Philadelphia-based newspaper is not alone in its decision to do this and indeed many other journalistic outlets have made the same editorial decision. Oz went on Fox & Friends to complain about this and said, “they don’t like that I say what I see so they want to silence me and I tell you, it is shocking that it would make them that uncomfortable this early in my campaign but I think it’s reflective of the movement we represent.” On Twitter, Oz said the paper is trying to “cancel me because of my strong conservative values.” While he’s right that “Dr. Oz” is his brand and that’s how people recognize him, it’s obvious that he’s going too far by saying he’s being “silenced” and “canceled.” The Philadelphia Inquirer and these other publications don’t want to give the appearance of tipping the scales in his direction, and ultimately this is the right decision for them to be making.
From yesterday’s show:
Tucker Carlson Says Getting COVID is Feminine
On his daytime Fox Nation program “Tucker Carlson Today,” Tucker Carlson argued that COVID-19 has a way of “feminizing” men who get the disease. Tucker was speaking with British politician Nigel Farage and argued that Prime Minister Boris Johnson was stripped of his manhood when he got sick with the virus last year. He said, “somebody who knows him told me . . . getting COVID emasculated him, it changed him, it feminized him, it weakened him as a man.” Carlson went on to say, “the virus itself, this is true, does tend to take away the life force in some people, I noticed. I mean it does feminize people. No one ever says that but it’s true.” Tucker’s analysis doesn’t make any sense but if it did, this would apply to his favorite right-wing media figures and politicians who got COVID as well, including Donald Trump. But he and his allies only use this attack of femininity on folks they disagree with and whose character they wish to impugn.
From yesterday’s show:
Fox Host Chris Wallace QUITS Fox News, Joins CNN
Chris Wallace has announced that he is leaving Fox News and will be heading to CNN. Specifically, Wallace will be working on CNN+, a streaming service the network will be launching next year. This is pretty big news given that Wallace was one of the few occasional voices of reason at Fox News. He said during his farewell statement on his Sunday program, “after 18 years, I have decided to leave Fox. I wanted to try something new to go beyond politics to all the things I’m interested in. I’m ready for a new adventure and I hope you’ll check it out.” In a sense, this is bad news for the state of right-wing media today because Wallace was one of the lone voices who would challenge the guests the network would have on. If he’s replaced with an anchor who toes the Trumpian and Republican Party line, Fox viewers will only be further trapped in a conservative echo-chamber. The counter-point to that is that Wallace provided Fox with cover to say that while the network does have commentary anchors like Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity, they also have legitimate news anchors like Chris Wallace. The takeaway is that this could be a mix of good and bad and we’ll see who Fox ultimately decides to replace Wallace with.

David, I'm laughing my ass off with your interview with Michael Cohen. He spoke truth to power about the idiot, "Bones Spurs 45", but it was a good thing you had the ability to edit this interview with the 'dump' button. Michael used some street-level language that was precious. This may have been your best interview ever.
