Members of Congress Claim Trump Riots an Inside Job
There are several members of Congress who are suggesting that the insurrectionists at the Capitol last week may have had help from insiders. At this point, this is all speculation, but there is a good deal of circumstantial evidence that make the claims worthy of investigation. Majority Whip James Clyburn explained that while he has two offices in the Capitol, the rioters were able to find the office he uses most often and is much harder to find. Clyburn said “something’s wrong here.” Representative Ayanna Pressley voiced concern as well, explaining that panic buttons were “torn out” form congressional offices before the riot.
There is certainly enough evidence of wrongdoing here to warrant an investigation. Anyone from police officers to congressional staffers to members of congress themselves could have aided and abetted the rioters. There are some Trump-supporting congresspeople that are so radical that it wouldn’t be at all surprising if they were involved in the attack. As we learn more and more about the coup attempt and with Biden’s inauguration just five days away, Washington DC and the country as a whole are growing increasingly on edge.
Trump REFUSING TO PAY Rudy Giuliani for Election Work
In a completely predictable turn of events, Donald Trump is now refusing to pay Rudy Giuliani’s legal fees. Giuliani spent the last two months fighting on Trump’s behalf to convince the public and courts that the election was rigged by Joe Biden and the Democrats. Rudy fought valiantly time and time again. Highlights of his work include the Four Seasons Landscaping press conference, the melting hair dye episode, and encouraging Trumpists on Insurrection Day to have “trial by combat.” The Trump voter fraud cases in court finished with a record of 1 win and 62 losses.
Donald Trump has a long history of not paying people for their work. He is also someone who will turn on even his most loyal supporter on a whim. Trump is furious that Rudy could not get a single vote flipped in his favor and so he doesn’t believe him to be worth the money. Giuliani was reportedly charging $20,000 a day for his election fraud work and it’s unclear whether Trump even has that kind of money to spend. The question now is whether Trump and Giuliani will have a more public separation and what they will say about each other in the coming months.
From yesterday’s show:
Lunatic Congresswoman Announces Joe Biden Impeachment
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene called for Joe Biden to be impeached on his first full day in office, January 21st. With Congress focused on the second impeachment proceedings of Donald Trump, Greene thought it would be clever to make Biden’s supposed wrongdoing with China the issue. She announced her plan on Newsmax, where the host pretended like he was delivering groundbreaking news that will actually be of consequence. Greene’s impeachment article will go nowhere, because Republicans don’t have the House, fellow GOP lawmakers won’t support it, and Biden hasn’t done anything impeachable. It does go to show how wacky Congress has become with this freshman class of conspiracy theorists.
