DAMN: Trump cognitive decline hits Fox News, hosts PANIC
Right-wing media is experiencing a growing sense of panic as concerns about Donald Trump's cognitive decline gain traction in mainstream discussions. Nikki Haley's public emphasis on Trump's disorientation at a rally, where he mistakenly claimed she was in charge of Capitol security on January 6th, has escalated the matter. Even Eric Trump struggled to provide coherent answers when questioned about it on ABC News. Fox News and the MAGA right are now compelled to run interference to mitigate the risk of the story gaining more attention. On Fox News, a former Biden campaign surrogate, Kevin Walling, expressed cognitive concerns about Trump, prompting hosts to dismiss the idea. Kayleigh McEnany, in response to the panic, accused critics of projecting and defended Trump's mental acuity. Despite McEnany’s efforts, The Trump cognitive decline narrative is gaining momentum, causing distress within right-wing circles and triggering Trump's reaction to Haley's focus on the matter.
Trump MASSIVELY TRIGGERED by Nikki Haley mocking his cognitive decline
Nikki Haley's consistent criticism of Donald Trump has gotten under his skin and has led to a heated exchange between the two figures. Trump responded vehemently on Truth Social, labeling Haley as "birdbrain" and making false assertions about her political capabilities. Notably, Trump threatened to permanently bar donors contributing to Haley from the MAGA camp. This could be politically risky for Trump, as polling data indicates dissatisfaction among New Hampshire Republicans with his behavior, and suggests that his confrontational approach towards fellow Republicans might have negative consequences. The exchange underscores the ongoing internal struggles within the Republican Party and the challenges Trump's strategy may pose for party unity.
From yesterday’s show:
YIKES: Trump says he "doesn't need" Nikki Haley's supporters
Donald Trump, when interviewed about Nikki Haley voters, displayed palpable contempt for them, stating he didn't think they were needed. This approach raises concerns about Trump's strategy for unity within the Republican Party, especially considering the close margins in key states during the 2020 election. The polling data suggests that a significant portion of Nikki Haley voters might not choose him in the general election if she is not the nominee. In contrast, DeSantis primary voters expressed a higher likelihood of voting for Trump if he became the nominee. Trump's dismissive attitude toward Nikki Haley supporters in New Hampshire could pose challenges for him, particularly as he aims to secure broader Republican support in the upcoming elections.
From yesterday’s show:
Eric Trump short circuits when asked about father's cognitive decline
In a recent ABC News interview preceding the New Hampshire primary, Eric Trump, son of former President Donald Trump, faced questions about his father's cognitive state which he refused to answer. The interview highlighted the recent mainstream attention on Trump's cognitive issues, with the interviewer questioning the confusing statements blaming Nikki Haley instead of Nancy Pelosi for Capitol security lapses. Eric Trump kept evading the questions, instead praising his father's abilities and commitment to public service. This evasion strategy leaves the impression that the issue of Trump's mental state is indeed serious, intensifying doubts and contributing to the perception that the concerns about his cognitive condition are not adequately addressed.
