Fox Guest Crushes MULTIPLE Delusional Clowns on Live TV
Fox News Contributor Jessica Tarlov took Jesse Watters and Dan Bongino to school on the topics of the murder rate and gun deaths versus knife deaths on “The Five” yesterday. The panelists were doing a segment about America’s supposed “crime surge” and Watters showed how murder rates in other developed countries are lower than in the United States. Tarlov pointed out that those other countries don’t have a rampant gun problem like America has, which Watters immediately took issue with. He fired back, “people can still kill you with a knife, go down to Brazil.” Jessica responded, “I lived in the UK a long time where people got knifed all the time and it’s still nothing close to our murder rate.” Then Tarlov delivered a finishing blow to the conversation, which is that “the data that we’re talking about is 2020, those are the Trump years, so all of this blaming on President Biden that’s happening now — actually, under President Biden’s watch, the murder rate has even gone down.” She then went on to explain that the FBI crime data show an increase to violent crimes across all regions in the US, not just liberal cities. Therefore, the uptick in crime cannot be attributed to policies like bail reform and defunding or reforming the police. It’s good to see some truth get out on Fox News, even if it is for only a few seconds while the messenger is being shouted over and ignored.
Tucker Says People Are Being "Forced" to get Fake Vaccine Cards
Fox News propagandist Tucker Carlson on his program last night argued that people are being “forced” to procure fake vaccination cards in the US. Tucker said about people getting these fake cards, it “is understandable I think because they feel forced, they’re trapped.” Carlson’s commentary is ridiculous for a number of reasons: First of all, Tucker claims to be part of the party of personal responsibility, yet he's completely missing who is actually responsible for getting a fake vaccine card — the person who gets the fake card. Second, no one is even really being forced to be vaccinated, never-mind get fake vaccine cards. There are some companies and organizations now requiring employees get vaccinated, or in some cases to get regularly tested in lieu of vaccination, but people don’t need to work those jobs and can seek employment elsewhere. Third, Tucker works for a company that has a stricter vaccine policy than the one Joe Biden handed down a few weeks ago and he hasn’t complained about it once. So Carlson’s statement falls flat for a number of reasons, but for him it’s not about being truthful, it’s about ginning up a right-wing fear-mongering campaign and he’s certainly one of the best at it.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump "Could Be" Charged with MULTIPLE CRIMES for Georgia Strongarm
The Brookings Institution investigated the evidence that Donald Trump and his team pressured Georgia election officials to change the results of the 2020 race and concluded that Trump could be charged with a number of election crimes. The most damning piece of evidence is when Trump, on a phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, said to “find 11,780 votes.” The ex-POTUS also pressured Governor Brian Kemp and Attorney General Chris Carr to do what they could to overturn the election results. The report from Brookings concluded that, “Trump's post-election conduct in Georgia leaves him at substantial risk of possible state charges predicated on multiple crimes.” Specifically the crimes could include, “criminal solicitation to commit election fraud; intentional interference with performance of election duties; conspiracy to commit election fraud; criminal solicitation; and state RICO violations.” Unfortunately, just because Trump could be charged with election crimes, that doesn’t mean he actually will. There has never been a political appetite to charge a politician as high-ranking as a president in the United States, and Trump has benefited tremendously from that. While Trump probably should be charged for his post-election conduct in Georgia, it remains unlikely that he actually will be.
From yesterday’s show:
WHOA: COVID Cases Down 31%, Deaths Down 11%
COVID cases continue to trend downwards in the United States and globally. This could be credited to a number of things, including more vaccinations, natural seasonality of the disease, and simply the virus running out of people to infect. New cases per day in the US are down 31% relative to the Delta peak in mid-August. Deaths, which tend to lag cases by three to four weeks, have now also begun a downward trend. So far, deaths are down 11% in the country relative to the Delta peak. The case reduction globally matches that of the United States and the death decline at this point is around 25% since mid-August. There is now even clearer data about the political alignment of who the virus is primarily killing in the US. The states with the lowest per capita death rates in September are the heavy Biden states like Vermont, Massachusetts, Maryland, and California. The states doing the worst with the highest average per capita death rates are Trump strongholds like Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and West Virginia. This should come as no surprise, since the least vaccinated states are also the reddest states and the most vaccinated states are the bluest states. Hopefully the case and death counts will continue downward, vaccination rates continue upward, and another deadly variant doesn’t come around so we can finally move beyond this pandemic.
