BREAKING CONFIRMED: Putin Cancer, Assassination Attempt
It has now been confirmed by Newsweek based on a classified US intelligence report that Vladimir Putin has recently received cancer treatment. Ever since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, there’s been speculation that Putin is terminally ill due to how irrationally he’s been acting. The report cites three US intelligence leaders, one from the office of the Director of National Intelligence, one from the Defense Intelligence Agency, and one who is a retired Air Force senior officer. They claim that Putin received cancer treatment as recently as April and that the disease is advanced. The report also claims that there was an assassination attempt against the Russian president in March. This goes to show that Putin’s grasp on power is not absolute and recognizing that, he may be positioned to get more and more desperate as the months go on and Ukrainian resistance continues.
NRA Guy Won't Say Whether He's For or Against Slavery
Over the weekend, The Good Liars interviewed a man at the NRA convention who could not definitively say whether he was for or against slavery. Jason Selvig asked the man why he was wearing a Confederate flag shirt, to which he could not provide a satisfying answer. Selvig then followed up, asking, “are you pro-slavery? Are you against slavery?” The interviewee responded, “I have no comment.” Selvig than gave the man two more opportunities to say whether he was for or against slavery, but he didn’t take them. Typically, people who wear or display the Confederate flag say while they’re against slavery, they want to celebrate southern heritage and don’t think the stars and bars are a hate symbol. In this case, the man being interviewed either didn’t know the right talking points, or he really did believe the US should go back to being a country where slavery is legal.

WTF? Uvalde Police Timeline Keeps Changing
The Uvalde Police Department’s timeline as to what happened during the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School last week keeps changing and the department is no longer cooperating with investigators. Initially it was believed the police stayed outside of the school for 40 to 60 minutes as the shooter was inside the school. Now it is believed to be closer to 80 minutes that they waited around. The Texas Department of Public Safety now also says that the door the shooter used to access the school was closed but not locked, backtracking from the previous claim that it was propped open by a teacher. The response was clearly bungled and the Uvalde Police are desperately trying to dig themselves out of the hole they are in. While facts are still being gathered, it’s clear that the cops decided not to go in because they were afraid for their own lives which is completely unacceptable and unbecoming of officers who swear to protect and serve the public.

Trump Turns on Kellyanne Conway, ATTACKS
Kellyanne Conway has become the latest former Trump official that Donald Trump has turned on for daring to criticize him. Conway has a new book called Here's the Deal wherein she claims she was one of the first White House insiders to tell the then-president that he had lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden. Trump disputed this claim with a post to Truth Social. He wrote, “Kellyanne Conway never told me that she thought we lost the election. If she had, I wouldn’t have dealt with her any longer — she would have been wrong — could go back to her crazy husband, Writing books can make people say some very strange things. I wonder why?” It’s wonderful to see the infighting on the right and this is yet another example of how Trump is willing to cast someone away when they’re no longer being completely subservient to him.

The Cuban Missile Crisis happened when I was 10. At the time, I asked my dad "don't you wish that Kruschev would die?" And he said quite simply, "His successor could be worse."
