Visibly Sweaty Trump Wildly Accuses Obama of Treason
Donald Trump has accused former President Obama of treason for his involvement in the FBI’s investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign. In May, Trump told reporters that “Obamagate” was the crime the former president had committed. Yesterday, Trump updated the crime to “treason” in an interview with David Brody of the Christian Broadcasting Network. Of course, treason charges in the United States are exceptionally rare and there is no evidence to suggest that Barack Obama committed anything of the sort. Trump went on to complain about how unfairly he is treated by Democrats and the media.
Donald Trump has possibly just months left in his presidency. The country is in crisis dealing with the coronavirus, protests over racism and police brutality, real unemployment at about 20%, and much more. Despite all that is happening, Trump is focused on trying to get his Attorney General to take up charges against Obama. It’s clear that Trump knows he can’t make a strong case for reelection and needs to distract with nonsense like “Obamagate.”
Trump Violently Comes Out Against 1st Amendment
During Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma over the weekend, the President took a stance against the First Amendment. Trump said “we ought to come up with legislation that if you burn the American flag, you go to jail for one year.” Of course, the Supreme Court has ruled on flag burning multiple times and has said it is protected speech under the First Amendment. Evidently, Trump did not know that or did not care.
Conservatives claim to be the great defenders of the Constitution, yet the crowd of people behind Trump erupted in applause when he delivered the line. There are some on the right who are principled about this, but they have largely abandoned Trump by now anyway. The Trump supporters, who care so much about the Constitution when the Second Amendment is at stake, don’t seem to care at all about the First. They’ll happily abandon the Constitution when their dear leader says it’s okay to.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump FURIOUS, LOST IT Backstage Over Empty Rally
Donald Trump was reportedly furious over the small crowd size at his recent rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Trump campaign expected at least 60,000 people to show up, but only about 6,200 showed up and the arena was largely empty. According to a New York Times report, Trump was “stunned, and he yelled at aides backstage while looking at the endless rows of empty blue seats.” Brad Parscale, Trump’s campaign manager, was not at the event and one would imagine that he might be in need of a job soon.
