Trump LOSES IT, posts uncontrollably to Truth Social, insane tirade
Donald Trump completely lost his mind on Truth Social this week as a number of recent polls have shown him gaining ground on Ron DeSantis, his chief rival in the 2024 Republican presidential primary. Trump posted, “GREAT POLL NUMBERS. LEADING BIDEN, DESANCTUS, AND ALL OTHERS BY A LOT. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!” The former president also posted a couple of messages criticizing former House Speaker Paul Ryan and News Corp Chairman Rupert Murdoch. He then promoted his upcoming speech at CPAC this year, while downplaying other Republican candidates also speaking at the event. Trump wrote, “The only reason certain ‘candidates’ won’t be going to CPAC is because the crowds have no interest in anything they have to say. They’ve heard it all before, and don’t want to hear it again. But my speech, on Saturday night, is already a sold out ‘monster.’ They are trying to expand the room and space. We’ll have a great time at CPAC, we always do. See you there, and don’t forget to vote in the important Straw Poll!” Even when Trump has reasons to be upbeat and positive, he still manages to come across as completely hyperbolic and unstable.
CRINGE: Republican FBI hearings INSTANTLY backfire, go horribly wrong
During a recent hearing with Attorney General Merrick Garland, Republican Senator Ted Cruz showed himself to be totally confused as to how the law works. Cruz asked Garland about leaks relating to the FBI raiding Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home, to which Garland had to explain that a court filing is not a leak, but rather a public document. Cruz also didn’t understand who is responsible for enforcing statutes and regulations, suggesting that it was up to Garland rather than law enforcement officials on the ground to make charging and arresting decisions. The entire exchange showed that Cruz was not genuinely seeking answers to his questions but was rather using the hearing as an opportunity to attack Garland and push a narrative that the investigations into Trump were politically motivated. Cruz was not alone in making a fool of himself at the hearing, as Josh Hawley, Marsha Blackburn, and John Kennedy also decided to join in on the humiliation.
From yesterday’s show:
Ron DeSantis RESPONDS to Trump's relentless, childish attacks
Ron DeSantis continues to struggle with pushing back against Donald Trump’s attacks as the 2024 Republican primary begins to heat up. The Florida governor was on Fox News with Jesse Watters and was asked about the former president’s recent attacks against him. DeSantis followed up, “well, look, Jesse, I mean, you know, he used to say how great of a governor I was, and then I win a big victory, and all of a sudden, you know, he had different opinions. And so you could take that for what it's worth. But, you know, at the end of the day, I think one of the reasons I've been successful as governor is I don't really pay attention to a lot of the background noise. I mean, you know, he's obviously a big, big fish, but I get attacked all the time.” DeSantis is doing his best to act like it’s no big deal that Trump is attacking him because he “gets attacked all the time,” however Trump is a far different force than the other people who criticize the governor and he’ll likely soon have to get much more aggressive and fire back.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump melting down because Fox News is spreading Ron DeSantis propaganda
Fox News has a clear bias in favor of Ron DeSantis in the Republican primary and Donald Trump is attacking the network over it. Trump posted to Truth Social about this, saying, “FoxNews is promoting Ron DeSanctus so hard and so much that there’s not much time left for Real News. Reminds me of 2016 when they were pushing ‘JEB!’ The new Fox Poll, which have always been purposely terrible for me, has ‘TRUMP Crushing DeSanctimonious,’ but they barely show it. Instead they go with losers like Karl Rove, Paul Ryan and now, even ‘Yesper,’ who have been wrong about everything! Isn’t there a big, beautiful, Network which wants to do well, and make a fortune besides? FAKE NEWS!” Trump isn’t wrong that Fox is spreading pro-DeSantis propaganda, however, what he doesn’t seem to get is that Fox’s priority is to maintain access to power. If the former president does become the obvious favorite to win the 2024 nomination and wins the first few primaries, the network will surely go back to supporting him.
