Trump Loses Mind in Perverted Rally
Donald Trump held two campaign events in Ohio yesterday with huge crowds and coronavirus likely circulating in the air. Trump said of the virus that it affects “virtually nobody,” which is a dumb thing to say when over 200,000 Americans have died from it so far. Trump also went back to bashing mail-in voting, encouraging his supporters to report unsolicited mail-in ballots to authorities, which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Ohio isn’t sending out unsolicited ballots — they’re sending universal applications — but the facts don’t matter to this President.
Trump went on to complain about how NBC didn’t talk about how he was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize by a right-wing Norwegian politician. In the context of a pandemic, wildfires in the west, and hurricanes in the south, the comment was particularly dumb and tasteless. Trump wrapped up by talking about what he promises to do if he gets a second term, without explaining why he won’t just do those things now or couldn’t get them done before.
Some on Left Should Stop Lying About Biden's Tax Plan
There is a segment of the left who will not vote for Joe Biden because they consider him to be the ultimate centrist. While that may be true on some issues, it still puts him well to the left of Donald Trump. However, there are some Joe Biden policy positions that are authentically left-wing. We have covered Biden’s climate policy, which is the most progressive of any major presidential candidate ever. Another issue where Biden is decisively left-wing today is on taxes.
If elected president, Joe Biden would raise the corporate profits tax and eliminate deductions for high-income earners. Biden would repeal most of the Trump tax cuts and increase taxes on fossil fuel emissions. He also wants to uncap the limit at which point high-earning people stop paying the Social Security tax. If enacted, this agenda would do wonders for the economy and hopefully reduce income inequality as well. Joe Biden’s tax policy is much closer to that of Bernie Sanders’s than that of the average corporate centrist Democrat.

Trump's Brain Crumbles in Worst Rally in History
Donald Trump held a rally over the weekend in Nevada and no matter what idiotic thing Trump said, the crowd cheered for him. Trump said he wanted a third term as president, which the crowd supported. He said he had the best coronavirus response, which the audience also nodded along to. Trump said he wanted to fill Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Supreme Court seat before the election and they agreed with that too. It doesn’t matter how bad the arguments are, the lies and double standards don’t matter either, Donald Trump’s supporters will never abandon him.
