Trump suffers SCARY cognitive issue, deteriorating quickly
Over the weekend at a rally in Concord, New Hampshire, Donald Trump experienced a notable moment of confusion. In his speech, Trump mistakenly attributed responsibility for the Capitol's insufficient police presence on January 6, 2021, to Nikki Haley instead of Nancy Pelosi. Despite the inaccuracy of this claim and the unrelated nature of Nikki Haley to the issue, Trump managed to confuse the two female politicians. This incident adds to a series of instances suggesting a decline in Trump's cognitive sharpness, such as incorrectly believing Barack Obama is still president and expressing concerns about entering World War II. While few Republicans have openly acknowledged Trump's potential decline, Nikki Haley has strategically chosen the late stages of the primary battle to make this case, possibly indicating a last-ditch effort on her part.
Nikki Haley suddenly jumps on Trump dementia train
Nikki Haley's recent acknowledgment of Donald Trump's cognitive decline marks a significant shift in her approach. Following Trump's disoriented rally in Concord, New Hampshire, where he mistakenly implicated her in Capitol security matters, Haley openly addressed the issue. Her decision to directly confront Trump's cognitive decline reflects a strategic move, distancing herself from potential confusion and positioning herself as a more stable alternative. By focusing on Trump's mental acuity rather than policy differences, Haley appears to be attempting to appeal to Trump supporters without alienating them. This calculated shift in strategy suggests that Haley recognizes the importance of addressing concerns about Trump's cognitive state as she hopes to pull off an upset this week in New Hampshire.
From yesterday’s show:
Vivek Ramaswamy no longer denying he wants to be Trump's VP
Vivek Ramaswamy, former Republican presidential candidate, initially asserted that his campaign was not aimed at becoming Trump's vice president. Despite a disappointing outcome in Iowa, Ramaswamy endorsed Trump and attended his rally in New Hampshire. Subsequently, when questioned about the vice presidency on Fox News, Ramaswamy's response shifted from a firm denial to a more ambiguous stance, expressing a willingness to serve the country in any capacity. Trump had previously hinted at selecting a woman as his running mate and suggested he already had someone in mind. The speculation around Ramaswamy's potential role in Trump's administration has been growing, fueled by his endorsement and apparent alignment with Trump's policies. However, the likelihood of Ramaswamy becoming the vice president remains uncertain, as he might not match Trump’s preferences.
From yesterday’s show:
Mike Pillow cancelled by Fox News (because he owes them $8 million)
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell claims Fox News canceled him over his outspoken stance on election integrity, framing it as part of a broader cancel culture trend. However, Axios reports suggest that Fox News terminated the partnership due to Lindell's failure to pay a substantial advertising bill of $7.8 million since August. Lindell denies the financial allegations, asserting a political motive tied to bringing Lou Dobbs to Lindell TV. Despite his claims, skepticism remains, with indications that the cancellation is more about outstanding debt than political differences. Lindell says he plans to contact Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott to seek clarification. MyPillow's involvement in politics has likely been detrimental to the brand, impacting its 1500 employees, and putting its long-term viability as a company in a precarious position.
