Trump BEGS for money in disgusting orange conspiracy rant
In a recent video titled “Dismantle the Deep State and Reclaim Our Democracy,” Donald Trump launched a ten-point plan to reclaim democracy from Washington corruption, stating that he will use his executive authority to remove rogue bureaucrats and overhaul the intelligence apparatus. He claimed that faceless bureaucrats target and persecute conservatives and political enemies, and he will reform FISA courts that are corrupt and establish a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to expose deep-state spying and corruption. Trump plans to launch a crackdown on government leakers, ban bureaucrats from taking jobs at regulated companies, and push for a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on members of Congress. Trump’s plan appears to be based mostly on unfounded conspiracy theories as there is very little evidence to support the existence of a deep state. This seems more like a way for Trump to manipulate his supporters and get them to fork over their money than any sort of serious policy proposal.
Piers Morgan Ron DeSantis interview proves how dangerous he really is
Ron DeSantis appeared on Piers Morgan’s program this week as the Florida Governor does his media rounds ahead of what’s expected to be his impending presidential announcement. When asked by Morgan how he would govern differently than Donald Trump, DeSantis responded by saying that his approach to COVID would have been different, and he would have fired Anthony Fauci. DeSantis also claimed that he would run the government with no daily drama, focus on the big picture, and put points on the board. In response to a question about Trump's nicknames for him, DeSantis said that he didn't care what he was called, as long as he was called a winner. These answers speak to the approach the Florida governor has taken so far, which is to not directly criticize Trump and to avoid getting into the mud with the failed former president.
From yesterday’s show:
Lindsey Graham says Trump indictment will "blow up" our country
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham appeared on Fox & Friends this week and used language that raised many eyebrows when speaking about a possible upcoming Trump indictment. Graham said that if that were to happen, it would “blow up the country.” Some are interpreting these words as an allusion to violence, however, there’s a possibility that Graham was simply being hyperbolic. It’s also likely that Graham’s words, even if they were said as intended, won’t lead to heightened tensions among Trump supporters because they already don’t seem to be interested in protesting possible charges against the former president. While Lindsey’s words could be seen as dangerous, hopefully, they don’t lead to violence and Trump can be prosecuted without a background of domestic uproar.
From yesterday’s show:
Asked about Trump's crimes, Kevin McCarthy brings up Hillary Clinton
In a recent interview, Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy deflected questions about the looming charges against former President Donald Trump by bringing up Hillary Clinton. When asked about the allegations that Trump falsified business records to cover up hush money payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, McCarthy responded by bringing up the DNC and Clinton's use of $1 million that allegedly went to something else than what was indicated in the records. McCarthy argued that Clinton should also be held accountable and that there should be equal justice. Of course, McCarthy's party doesn't actually care about equality when it comes to creating equitable situations along the lines of class, race, or gender. McCarthy's attempt at deflection is clearly an attempt at gaslighting, but a transparent one that likely won't work on too many people.
