Unhinged Trump Falls Apart at Sick Rally
Donald Trump held his first post-debate campaign rally in Duluth, Minnesota yesterday. The President thinks he has a shot at winning Minnesota even though Joe Biden is currently ahead in polling by an average of 9.4%. Trump spent much of the time recapping the debate, saying he held Biden accountable on the stage. Trump acted as though Biden wants to cancel the next two debates, which is a way to communicate to his supporters that Biden is a quitter or not up to the task of arguing with him. The debates are likely to go on, but with rule changes, so that Trump will be forced to stop talking and allow for a somewhat coherent dialogue.
Trump replayed his greatest hits at the rally. He talked about how Joe Biden will supposedly destroy the suburbs by "abolishing single-family zoning." This is one of Trump’s favorite dog whistles but it’s not even clear any of his supporters believe Biden would end the suburbs. Trump decided to ridicule Biden’s decision not to hold giant campaign rallies that would put his supporters at risk during a global pandemic. Trump clearly has no problem jeopardizing his own supporters’ health and he is shocked that Biden won’t do the same. Luckily, these Trump rallies should be over in a month and maybe then the United States can better address the coronavirus pandemic.
Trump So Unhinged, Debate Rules Are Changing
Donald Trump was so unhinged in Tuesday night’s debate, with his constant petulant interruptions, that the Commission on Presidential Debates has decided to change the rules to allow for actual adult conversation. The commission said yesterday that, “additional structure should be added to the format of the remaining debates to ensure a more orderly discussion of the issues.” Donald Trump reacted to the news by going on Twitter and saying, “Try getting a new Anchor and a smarter Democrat candidate!”
One possible idea to improve the debates is to give the moderator the ability to cut a candidate’s microphone. However Chris Wallace, Tuesday night’s moderator, said it wouldn’t make much of a difference because Trump could still interrupt and be heard through Biden’s microphone. Another idea is to make interruptions result in the deduction of time for the candidate speaking out of order. That also would be tough to manage, as Trump could just ignore that rule as well. The fact that this conversation even needs to be taking place is an embarrassment to the election process and the United States as a whole.
From yesterday’s show:
40% of Joe Biden's Lead Has Evaporated
People on the left need to stay focused and make sure they have a plan to vote in the 2020 election because nothing is guaranteed. Trump has slowly been catching up to Joe Biden in the national polls and perhaps even at an accelerating rate. In June, Biden was up over Trump 10.2% in the Real Clear Politics average. By early September that lead shrunk down to 8% and now it’s at 6.1%. Biden still does have a commanding lead but the trend is concerning. If Biden’s lead shrinks to just 3% ahead of Trump, the electoral college victory odds for each candidate would be at about 50/50. That is way too close for comfort.

The only effective way to control our crackhead-in-chief and to keep him from forgetting that the debates are not a press conference is to change the debate rules in the following way: each candidate must sign a contract agreement not to interrupt the other candidate during their “two minutes“. If a candidate does it once they get a warning. If a candidate does it twice they are told by the moderator that if they do it one more time the debate is over and they have to leave. As far as the polls that you bring up in your assessment of Biden‘s lead, I trust TYT‘s assessment of the polls much more than I do yours and TYT has Biden leading by significant margins in most of the swing states and by a little margin in Arizona which is almost unheard of. I don’t know where you get your poll numbers from and notions about how the pools are “trending“ but the fact is that there is a significant number of swing voters who were totally turned off and disgusted by President Crackhead’s pernicious behavior towards both Biden and Chris Wallace.
