EPIC Freudian Slip: Bush Calls Iraq Invasion Brutal & Unjustified
George W. Bush had an epic Freudian slip while discussing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine during a speech at his presidential center in Dallas, Texas. The 43th president said, “the result is an absence of checks and balances in Russia and the decision of one man to launch a holy unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq — I mean of the Ukraine.” Bush then laughed it off and said, “Iraq . . . I’m 75.” Perhaps this was a complete mishap for Bush or maybe there was something in his conscience that knows his own invasion of Iraq in 2003 was “unjustified and brutal.” The American invasion of Iraq was based on false premises, led to hundreds of thousands if not over a million deaths, and trillions of taxpayer dollars wasted. Bush should absolutely feel remorseful over this war he started and maybe this Freudian slip indicates he finally does.
Trump LOSES IT in Authoritarian Explosion
Donald Trump is now consistently posting to his new social media site Truth Social and used it to comment in real time on the results coming in for Tuesday’s primary races. Trump tried taking credit for the as of now undecided Republican Senate race in Pennsylvania by saying “remember, all three candidates in Pennsylvania were ‘Ultra’ MAGA!” Clearly the former president is trying to hedge his bets in case Mehmet Oz, the candidate he endorsed, doesn’t come out on top. Trump also posted, “Dr. Oz should declare victory. It makes it much harder for them to cheat with the ballots that they ‘just happened to find.’” Of course, this is the exact technique that Trump used for the 2020 election and at the very least it persuaded many of his supporters into wrongfully thinking that he had won. Of course, Trump didn’t post about Congressman Madison Cawthorn, a Trump endorsee who lost his reelection effort. Instead he posted, “the Fake News Media is having a really hard time saying that MAGA, and Trump, didn’t have anything but a spectacular evening of voting & winning. Hold on, the best is yet to come!”

Jordan Peterson Flips Out on Me, Calls Woman Ugly, Then Quits Twitter
Psychologist and author Jordan Peterson lashed out at David over a recent segment we did about Peterson weeping over young people being pessimistic about the world due to climate change. Jordan said on Twitter, “I was speaking of the unacceptable demoralization of young people. I've seen it all over the world. And this cynical dismissal is all you can muster? How utterly pathetic . . . @dpakman How do you think endless apocalyptic catastrophizing affects children?” Later on, Peterson called the woman on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue “not beautiful. And no amount of authoritarian tolerance is going to change that.” This prompted a great deal of criticism to come his way and it led to Peterson taking a break from the social media site altogether. He announced, “so I told my staff to change my password, to keep me from temptation, and am departing once again. If I have something to say I'll write an article or make a video. If the issue is not important enough to justify that then perhaps it would be best to just let it go.” In all seriousness, Twitter isn’t healthy for many people and it makes plenty of sense for Peterson to want to take a break from it.
From yesterday’s show:
Tucker Ridicules Dan Crenshaw's Missing Eye, Was Furious When Pete Davidson Did It
Fox News propagandist Tucker Carlson made fun of Congressman Dan Crenshaw’s eyepatch this week in what was a truly disgusting and hypocritical move. Tucker was interviewing former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and the two were discussing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the baby formula shortage. Tucker said, “the more I think about it, it takes a lot of gall for Eyepatch McCain to attack moms who worry about baby formula as quote pro-Russia.” This is not only a subtle contradiction for Tucker as someone who purports to respect military service, as Crenshaw lost an eye fighting overseas. It’s also a direct contradiction, since he strongly criticized Pete Davidson several years ago when Davidson trivialized Crenshaw’s eye injury while doing a skit on Saturday Night Live. Tucker deserves to get criticism over this statement, but he probably won’t get it from his viewers, since right wingers have been programed in recent years not to care about hypocrisy at all.
