Biden SLAMS Trump For Racking Up So Much Debt
Joe Biden called out the hypocrisy of Republicans who claim we can’t afford Democratic spending proposals because of what they could do to the national debt and deficit. This week, the Senate passed a $1 trillion infrastructure package and Democrats are also looking onward to passing the largest expansion of the social safety net in generations with a plan to curb poverty, enhance child and elder care, and mitigate the effects of climate change. Now that it’s Democrats in charge of the nation’s pocketbook and they want to use that control to pass policy measures that will actually help average people instead of the wealthiest individuals and corporations, Republicans are in a tizzy about it. But Republicans are in absolutely no position to criticize Democratic spending proposals, since the vast majority of them signed off on Donald Trump’s budgets and his $2 trillion tax cuts that they didn’t even try to pay for. Luckily, Biden and the Democrats don’t have to worry about getting any Republicans on board for their next spending plan, assuming they can keep their own caucus together to pass a reconciliation bill.
This week, Joe Biden gave a speech highlighting the next stage of his “build back better” agenda and he ridiculed Republicans for only now fearmongering about the debt and deficit when they didn’t care about those matters under Donald Trump. Biden said that his agenda is going be fully paid for and that “this isn’t going to be anything like my predecessor, whose unpaid tax cuts and other spending, added nearly $8 trillion in his four years to the national debt — $8 trillion. They didn’t even proport to try to pay for their tax cuts which went straight to the largest corporations and the wealthiest Americans.” Biden is absolutely right to brush off the attacks from Republicans who are so obviously not operating in good faith on this issue. These investments will pay off and stimulate the economy, unlike the Trump tax cuts which they claimed would pay for themselves and never did.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: There's No COVID Surge!
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene can’t seem to say anything right about the COVID-19 pandemic. She went on The Water Cooler program on Real America’s Voice and managed to downplay the seriousness of the virus and the effectiveness of the vaccines all in one breath. Greene argued that hospitals are not being overrun by COVID patients and that rooms could be filled right now because of other illnesses, car accidents, and unrelated things. Greene went on to say “I don’t think the FDA should approve a vaccine that doesn’t seem to be that effective especially with COVID-19 raging all over the country — at least, that’s what the media’s telling us every single day.” Of course, Greene and her followers don’t need to trust the “media” to get the facts about the pandemic and they could just look up the rates of infections, hospitalizations, and deaths on their own. So too could they look at studies proving that the vaccines are highly effective at preventing serious cases of COVID. However, Greene and her supporters are committed to this narrative and there is next to no chance they would get persuaded by the evidence. No matter how bad the situation gets in the United States, Marjorie Taylor Greene will continue to claim everything is a conspiracy theory and that she and other freedom-loving Americans are somehow the true victims in all of this.

Mike Lindell's Cyber Symposium Gets Even Dumber
Mike Lindell’s cyber symposium never really recovered from its rough start on Tuesday when the pillow tycoon claimed the event was “hacked.” Josh Merritt, who worked on Lindell’s “red team,” revealed to the Washington Times on Wednesday that Lindell was essentially lying to the event’s attendees. The symposium was supposed to be the big reveal of the packet captures that would prove China hacked the 2020 election. Instead, Merritt has now ostensibly turned on Lindell and says that they don’t have such proof. To make matters worse for the MyPillow guy, a judge ruled that the $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit Dominion Voting Systems has levied on Lindell is allowed to continue. News of this prompted Mike to leave the stage of the cyber symposium to process everything that was happening to him. To cap it all off, today (August 13th) was supposed to be the reinstatement day for Donald Trump, according to Lindell and his acolytes. He argued that the talk of the world by now would be the cyber symposium and that the Supreme Court would swiftly convene and rule unanimously that Trump had to be reinstated as president immediately. Instead, Lindell made a fool of himself for three straight days at his little event and delivered an absolute nothing burger to his audience who expected a whole lot more.
