Trump Softball Fox Interview Goes Horribly Wrong

Donald Trump sat down for an interview last week with Fox News host Sean Hannity and it did not go well. The President could not make a solid case for why he should be elected to a second term. When asked, Trump said he should be reelected because he has experience, knows people in government, and hired mostly good people to work for him (except for “idiot” John Bolton). Trump also pointed to Veterans Choice and his appointment of federal judges, which largely has nothing to do with him. Trump has had plenty of time to come up with arguments for reelection and he still doesn’t have a clue.

Also in the interview, Trump talked about how if the United States didn’t do any coronavirus testing, it wouldn’t have any cases. He rambled about how COVID-19 has a lot of names, including “corona-19.” Trump also appeared to recognize he was losing, saying “[Joe Biden] is going to be your president because some people don’t love me.” With Trump it’s never about the country, it’s always about him. Let’s hope that this prediction of his turns out to be true.

Trump Shares Video of Supporter Shouting "White Power"

Donald Trump recently retweeted a video wherein an elderly Trump supporter shouted “white power” at protesters. The video comes out of the Villages in Florida. A line of Trump supporters in golf carts drove by anti-Trump protesters and the two sides shouted back and forth. “White power” is yelled out in the first several seconds of the video, yet Trump still retweeted it. The President captioned the post, “Thank you to the great people of the Villages. The Radical Left Do Nothing Democrats will Fail in the Fall. Corrupt Joe is shot. See you soon!!!”

Trump ultimately had to delete the video from his Twitter timeline. The White House claimed that Trump didn’t hear anyone yell “white power” in the video, even though it was clearly audible and happened eight seconds in. Some are hypothesizing that Trump did this as a way to distract from the Russian Bounty scandal. That would probably be assigning more credit to Trump’s intelligence than he deserves.

Americans Will Be Banned from Europe

As many other countries get coronavirus under control, the United States is still getting tens of thousands of new cases per day. That means that Americans will not be allowed to visit Europe any time soon, even as travelers from different parts of the world will be able to. There are plenty of places in the United States that are handling the virus well at this point, New England being one of them. But the US will be judged by its worst-performing states, which now include Texas and Florida. We predicted this would happen, and it’s becoming official as Europe reopens.
