Trump Orders MASK OFF at Sick Press Event
Donald Trump held yet another press briefing yesterday. While many in the US are starting to get used to these deranged pressers, any international viewer would see these circuses and want to cry. When Trump finally began taking questions, he asked a reporter to take off his mask and it gave the impression that Trump really just doesn’t care about masks or the virus. He rambled on about non-existent crimes Barack Obama and Joe Biden supposedly committed against him and how they should both be put in prison for fifty years.
Trump dismissed reports he called fallen troops “losers” and “suckers,” by saying, “only an animal would say something like that,” which is actually true. Trump also had an opportunity to praise his hatchet man Postmaster General Louis DeJoy and deny that he broke any campaign finance laws. The President told reporters his friends think he is the most innocent person to ever hold the office. He chose to wrap up with some casual xenophobia, referring once again to coronavirus as the “China virus.”
EMERGENCY: Trump Campaign Running Out of Money
The Trump campaign is not doing so well right now, remaining down in the polls to Joe Biden by an average of seven points. They are also having financial problems. According to the New York Times, the Trump team is taking “a cautious approach after the former leadership spent huge sums on television and digital ads earlier this year, to no discernible effect.” Seventy-three percent of the $1.1 billion raised by the Trump campaign has already been spent, despite the fact they didn’t have to campaign during the primary. On the other side, Joe Biden raised a record-setting $365 million in August.
The Trump campaign having issues raising and spending money should come as no surprise. Part of that is because Trump has done damage to people and the country that ad spending can’t fix. It also should come as no shock because Trump and his organizations are notoriously bad at spending money. We’ve covered stories about the Trump campaign spending money to pay for the businesses and personal lives of the Trump family and Trump’s inner circle. The excessive money used for grifting and paying folks off could very well be draining the funds of the campaign.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump Keeps Denying "Mini-Strokes" No One Claimed He Had
Donald Trump keeps making blunders over his “mini-strokes” denial. A former aide of Mike Pence’s wrote that the Vice President was put on standby last year when Trump made an unplanned emergency visit to Walter Reed Medical Center. When the news came out last week, Trump blurted out on Twitter that he didn’t have “mini-strokes,” which led many to believe he did indeed have “mini-strokes.” Now, the President just can’t let the story go and he decided to retell it at his latest Pennsylvania corona-rally.
