Absolute Chaos at California Rally, Total House of Horrors
The California gubernatorial recall election is today and the campaign to keep Gavin Newsom is expected to win by a comfortable margin. That has second-place Republican candidate Larry Elder preparing for a loss by saying publicly that “we all ought to be looking at election integrity.” It is standard practice now for Republicans who lose elections to claim they didn’t lose but rather to claim without evidence that the race was rigged. This was the strategy championed by Donald Trump in 2020, and it protected his ego and kept his supporters loyal. Democrats outnumber Republicans two-to-one in the Golden State and according to the latest polling average from FiveThirtyEight, 57.3% of voters want to keep Gavin Newsom, whereas only 41.5% want to remove him. Despite this massive margin, conservatives, assuming they lose, will claim Elder was the true winner but was robbed by the Democratic political machine in California. These right-wingers are pathetic and childish but they will continue providing these types of excuses until they have effectively tarnished democracy in the United States.
Fox Host CRUSHES Republican Goon: Why Is Chickenpox Mandate Ok, But Not COVID?
Fox News host Chris Wallace confronted Republican Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts about his stance on COVID vaccine mandates in schools and it did not go particularly well for Ricketts. Wallace pointed out on his Fox News Sunday show that kids in Nebraska need to be vaccinated for a number of diseases in order to attend public school, including diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and chicken pox. He followed up by asking, “why is it that they’re not so objectionable and such a violation of personal freedom but Biden’s vaccine mandates are?” The Nebraska governor followed up by making a feelings-based argument because he didn’t have a fact-based one. Ricketts said that “there’s still a lot of people out there who don’t know what to trust.” It’s precisely people like Ricketts and his right-wing allies who play into the fearmongering about COVID vaccines, even though hundreds of millions of people have gotten them and we know them to be highly safe and efficacious. These conservatives then whip their followers up into a frenzy and come out against mandates and basic restrictions to placate them. Watching Ricketts ramble his way through an explanation for why he’s against mandating the COVID vaccine is a clear case in point.

Rudy Giuliani Claims NOT DRUNK at Off the Rails 9/11 Dinner
Rudy Giuliani’s fall from grace continues as the former New York City mayor keeps reaching all time lows. Rudy was at a dinner for the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and appeared to be drunk as he rambled and joked about topics completely unrelated to the tragedy twenty years ago. At one point, Giuliani did an impersonation of Queen Elizabeth II and out of nowhere said that he never hung out with Prince Andrew, who has been accused of child sex abuse. Rudy said, “I never went out with him. Ever. Never had a drink with him. Never was with a woman or a young girl with him.” Giuliani for some reason felt compelled to make a lot of denials about his associations with Prince Andrew, but then followed up by saying the two did make acquaintances in Rudy’s office and at a party. Giuliani also criticized Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley, who lately has become a target of right-wing fanatics. Rudy says “I wanted to grab his stars [and] shove it down his throat.” The ex-New York City mayor did his best to do a comedic routine, but it was embarrassingly out of place for a 9/11 commemoration event.
From yesterday’s show:
Trump Says He'd Knock Out Joe Biden in Seconds
Ahead of providing boxing commentary on the twentieth anniversary of 9/11, Donald Trump participated in a weigh-in by calling in and taking questions. The event promoter asked the ex-president, “if you had to box somebody on Saturday night, who would it be and what would the fight look like?” Trump thought about it for a second by rambling and then answered, “I think probably my easiest fight would be Joe Biden because I think he would go down very quickly. . . I think Biden would go down within the first few seconds.” It’s hard to imagine that the United States has regressed to the point where a former president is talking about beating up the current one, but that’s indeed where we are. Trump clearly is still reeling from his election defeat last year and also has grand delusions about his own physical abilities. If Barack Obama had said the same thing about George W. Bush, the right wing would have been furious and called for him to never participate in politics again. But since it’s Trump, these conservatives laugh and cheer and hope for more of it.
