Trump Clogged White House Toilet by Flushing Documents
According to reporting by Maggie Haberman, Donald Trump used to flush sensitive documents down a White House toilet to the point where it would clog up. We’ve recently learned about Trump destroying documents in any way that he could, including by ripping them up and sending them to the Pentagon to be incinerated. The National Archives has asked the Biden Justice Department to investigate the handling of White House records by the previous administration. Perhaps this practice explains Trump’s obsession with toilets throughout his tenure. He famously said, “we’re looking very strongly into sinks and showers and other elements of bathrooms. . . . They take a shower and water comes dripping out, it’s dripping out, very quietly dripping out. People are flushing toilets ten times, fifteen times as opposed to once.” Whether Trump will ever face consequences for his destruction of records remains to be seen, but at least this news about flushing documents makes for an amusing sidebar.
Marjorie Taylor Greene Confused "Gazpacho" and "Gestapo"
Marjorie Taylor Greene can’t seem to stop herself from making embarrassing gaffes. The Georgia congresswoman appeared on the right-wing network OAN and confused the terms “Gestapo,” the Nazi secret state police, with “gazpacho,” which is a Spanish cold vegetable soup. Greene said, “not only do we have the DC jail which is the DC Gulag, but now we have Nancy Pelosi’s gazpacho police spying on members of Congress.” Contrary to MTG’s beliefs, Speaker Pelosi is not enforcing any soup-related rules onto the floor of the House. This is not the only issue Greene has had with the English language this week. On Monday, during a rant about COVID protocols, she kept referring to “masks” in the singular form “mask,” when the grammar called for the plural to be used. It’s unclear whether Greene will learn from these mistakes, but at this rate, they’re likely to continue happening.

Fox Guest Suggests Vaccines INCREASE Deaths, Tucker Nods
Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA went on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show this week and lied with statistics while discussing the COVID vaccines. Tucker presented the data that a life insurance company came up with that claimed the deaths of people 18-64 were up 40% in the third quarter of 2021 compared to pre-pandemic numbers. Kirk expanded on this information saying, “does this have something to do with the fact that we might have done a mass inoculation strategy?” When critically analyzing the primary source, the rise in death numbers can be explained due to the virus itself. While COVID deaths themselves were adjusted for, secondary effects like heart and respiratory issues were not. Many people refused care either by choice or by necessity because of the pandemic. Ironically, it was the right who said that people supposedly dying of COVID aren’t really dying of the virus and its comorbidities. All of the sudden, they want to abandon this talking point to make the argument that the vaccines are killing people when there’s zero evidence to suggest that.

BREAKING: Pelosi Buckles, Moves to Ban Stock Trading
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is now pushing an individual stock trading ban for members of Congress. She had long opposed such a measure, saying as recently as December that “we are a free market economy” and that members “should be able to participate in that.” Pelosi gradually adjusted her position last month to saying that while she personally opposed such a ban, she trusts her members’ judgement and would be willing to go forward on it if that was the consensus. Even some Republicans, like House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, have expressed interest in moving forward on this type of legislation. The idea in its current form would be to amend the STOCK Act of 2012 to add this individual stock trading restriction. Members of Congress would still be able to own mutual funds and invest in the broader market, they just wouldn’t be able to pick and choose individual companies that they anticipate will do well.
