After Trump video, AZ okays 1864 abortion ban, NO rape/incest exception
The Arizona Supreme Court recently upheld a nearly complete abortion ban, originally passed in 1864, with no exceptions for rape or incest. This decision allows imprisonment for doctors performing or participating in abortions, intensifying the national debate around reproductive rights. The ban, effective in 14 days, only permits abortions when the mother's life is at risk. This move signifies a significant regression in reproductive healthcare, with Arizona reverting to a law predating modern medical standards. The decision's timing aligns with the weakening of Roe v. Wade protections, indicating a broader trend toward restrictive abortion laws. This development raises questions about the influence of political rhetoric, particularly President Trump's stance on state autonomy in abortion legislation. The outcome could impact the upcoming presidential election, most likely helping Democrats, especially in closely contested states like Arizona.
Trump takes credit for stock market, WARNS Jews in SICK interview
Former President Donald Trump has resurfaced with ominous warnings to Jewish Americans while taking credit for the stock market's success under President Joe Biden. In a bizarre interview with Wayne Allyn Root, he transitioned from discussing abortion to cautioning Jewish voters against supporting Biden, accusing him of being anti-Israel. Then Trump spoke about the economy, attributing the stock market's performance to expectations of his return to power, even though he has no evidence to support this claim. Trump's predictions in 2020 of economic doom under Biden have been proven wrong. Historically, stock markets have performed better under Democratic administrations, challenging Trump's assertions. As the election approaches, Trump's reliance on fear-mongering tactics signals a growing sense of desperation.
From yesterday’s show:
Eclipse brutally breaks Fox News' brains
Fox News hosts opportunistically exploited Monday’s solar eclipse, shamelessly intertwining it with the contentious issue of US-Mexico border policy. They weaved a narrative that bends celestial occurrences to fit their political agenda, cynically injecting immigration discussions, because the line of totality just so happened to go through border cities in Texas. This manipulation of the eclipse narrative to suit partisan ends exposes a troubling pattern of leveraging crises for political gain and engaging viewers through fear and skepticism rather than genuine discourse. It's a calculated move that not only reflects the network's priorities but also reveals a disconcerting willingness to exploit scientific events for ideological ends.
From yesterday’s show:
OH NO: Right wing REVOLTS against Trump over abortion
Former Vice President Mike Pence and other evangelicals have expressed outrage over Donald Trump's recent abortion comments, which signal a retreat from his previous pro-life stance. Trump's message was that he wants abortion rights to be left as a state issue. This shift angered many pro-life Americans who supported Trump for his promises to nominate conservative Supreme Court justices. Pence, once a staunch ally, now criticizes Trump's betrayal of the pro-life movement. This rift within the GOP is a potential advantage for Joe Biden, as it exposes divisions between MAGA and non-MAGA Republicans. Abortion is likely to be one of the top issues on the minds of voters in the 2024 election, and at this point, that seems to be greatly advantaging Joe Biden.
