Kayleigh McEnany Lies to Defend Slave Owners
Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany went on Fox News over the weekend to talk about the founding fathers in the context of the Fourth of July holiday. The premise for bringing Kayleigh on the Fox program was to respond to criticism from Democratic Congresswoman Cori Bush that July 4th is a celebration “for white people.” Bush said in a tweet, “when they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they're referring to is for white people. This land is stolen land and Black people still aren't free.” McEnany went on Fox and responded by saying: “the haters never take a day off from hating” and that “most of our forefathers — all of our main founding fathers were against slavery, recognized the evils of it.”
This is incredible revisionist history from Kayleigh McEnany because most of the prominent founding fathers did indeed own slaves. While it’s true that some of them didn’t, including John Adams, Samuel Adams, and Thomas Paine, the vast majority did. The list of founders who owned slaves includes George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, John Hancock, and John Jay. It’s true that some of these men opposed the institution of slavery in theory, and that some sought to ban it during America’s founding. But it’s hard to make the case that Kayleigh is making when so many of them owned slaves at the same time. So while there is certainly nuance to the matter, McEnany is wrong to say that “all of our main founding fathers were against slavery.” A claim like that doesn’t stand up to even a modicum of scrutiny. But the goal of Kayleigh’s statement wasn’t to be truthful, it was to make the Fox audience feel better about the founding of the country during the holiday weekend.
Trump Has FULL MELTDOWN as His AG Admits EVERYTHING
Former Attorney General William Barr and former President Trump have not been on good terms ever since Barr refused to back up Trump’s bogus claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election. In December, Barr told the Associated Press, “to date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election.” The Department of Justice conducted its reviews but ultimately found, as put by Barr “that there was nothing there. It was all bullshit.” Six months after Donald Trump has left office, the former president is still not over Barr’s betrayal. He released a statement last week saying in part, “it’s people in authority like Bill Barr that allow the crazed Radical Left to succeed. He and other RINOs in the Republican Party are being used in order to try to convince people that the election was legitimate when so many incredible facts have now come out to show conclusively that it wasn’t.” Barr was incredibly loyal to Trump from the beginning of his tenure as AG. He ran interference for the former president when the Mueller investigation wrapped up and helped propagate a narrative that Trump was innocent of any wrongdoing. But Barr would not go so far as to fabricate evidence of a stolen election, meaning that Trump had to toss him aside as he was no longer useful and becoming a liability.

Trump Won't Stop Bragging About His Dementia Test
There’s growing pressure from Republicans for President Biden to be screened for dementia. Specifically, there are calls for Biden to take the same Montreal Cognitive Assessment that Donald Trump took while he was president a few years ago. The test is super easy for those not experiencing cognitive decline. One question has the recipient draw a clock to demonstrate the time 11:10. Another question has the test-taker identify a lion, a rhinoceros, and a camel. Despite being an easy test, Donald Trump still to this day brags about getting a “perfect score” on the assessment, getting all 30 questions right. In a recent town hall on Fox News with the former president, host Sean Hannity said “he didn’t get one question wrong, did he? 30 out of 30. Wow.” This prompted the live audience to erupt in applause. Unfortunately these same people will never know about the actual questions on the test and how easy they are. They’ll simply use it as evidence to suggest that Trump is intelligent and lucid while Biden is in severe cognitive decline.
