Trump Confesses to Crimes in Historic, Deranged Rally
Donald Trump has returned to holding campaign rallies to generate interest in Republican candidates ahead of the 2022 midterms. The latest rally took place in Florida, where the former president repeated debunked lies about election fraud and renewable energy among other topics. He also weighed in on the investigation in New York that’s led to criminal charges against the Trump Organization and its CFO, Allen Weisselberg. Part of the charges involve allegations of tax avoidance, wherein Trump directly paid for Weisselberg’s business perks over a 15-year period. During his rally in Florida, Trump idiotically admitted to not paying taxes on a company car or on funding the education for Weisselberg’s grandchildren. These are items that New York prosecutors are directly looking into, and Trump said about it, “I don’t even know what do you have to put? Does anybody know the answer to that stuff?”
The crowd appeared completely disinterested and confused as to what was going on, but Trump in the moment actually managed to confess to some of the matters being investigated. The crowd only seemed to care once Trump compared his company’s alleged wrongdoing to the Clinton Foundation. The ex-president then openly revealed a tactic which he commonly employs about repeating lies as truths to get people to believe them. However, he expressed that’s what Democrats and the left do. Trump said, “it’s called disinformation. If you say it enough and keep saying it . . . they’ll start to believe you.” This is precisely what Trump did during his presidency and the people at his rally were tricked by the very same tactic. An example of this is that the vast majority of Republican voters believe in the “big lie” that Joe Biden and the Democrats only won the 2020 election due to cheating and widespread voter fraud. Trump offered his fanbase a real “peek behind the curtain” opportunity into his manipulative tactics, but they were obviously unable to catch on. Lying about everything has always been part of Donald Trump’s political strategy and while it’s often failed, it’s managed to win him a loyal following and so far at least one term as President of the United States.
Don Jr & Eric Trump MELT DOWN Over Indictments, Admit to Crimes
Last week, the Trump Organization and its CFO Allen Weisselberg were indicted on multiple criminal charges by the Manhattan district attorney's office. The charges are serious and involve tax fraud of various kinds including failing to report and pay taxes on a variety of different benefits including cars, apartments, and school tuition. It also includes state and federal income tax fraud, and state and local tax fraud more generally. The reaction from Donald Trump and his family so far has been completely predictable. They argue that the indictments are part of a “witch hunt” to attack Trump even though he’s no longer in office. The concern appears to be growing particularly among Trump’s adult children, who were supposedly in charge of running the organization while their dad was president. Ever since the announcement from New York prosecutors, the Trump kids have been on a right-wing media tour trying to run interference and explain the entire thing away as a Democrat hit job.
Eric Trump went on Eric Bolling’s Newsmax program to discuss the news and he’s clearly not taking it well. Bolling asked whether he feels concerned about the possibility of ending up in prison over the allegations. Eric Trump denied feeling worried about the investigation in a completely unconvincing tone of voice and then shifted to matters wholly unrelated to the case. Eric said, “the difference is, I’m not Hunter Biden. I’m not selling paintings to undisclosed people for half a million dollars a piece. I’m not doing drugs in shady hotels. I’m not going out and soliciting prostitution.” He went on to insist that he and his siblings live “very clean lives” without addressing any of the specifics at all and continuing to bring up unrelated matters. In a separate Fox News appearance, Eric Trump managed to give credence to the investigation by talking about employment perks and company cars. It would probably be in Eric Trump’s best interest to stay silent on the pending litigation, but just like his father, it appears as though he can’t control himself from admitting guilt while trying to defend himself.
From over the vacation:
Will Dems Get CRUSHED in 2022?
A live caller asked if Democrats are going to get crushed in the 2022 midterm elections, resulting in them possibly losing control of the Senate and/or House of Representatives. It’s an historical pattern in US politics that the party that does not have control of the presidency tends to perform well in the midterms. That’s not a good sign right now for the left. Single party control rarely lasts beyond two years, which suggests Democrats could lose a number of seats. Finally, Democrats have razor-thin margins to deal with, meaning that they truly are vulnerable. If either the House or Senate flip over to Republican hands, it will severely hinder Joe Biden’s ability to get anything done in the second half of his first term. Certainly Biden and Democrats getting done at least one more significant legislative accomplishment will help them in the midterms. But another factor is the role that Donald Trump will play in promoting particular Republican candidates and what effect that will have. If the right continues to go with wacky QAnon conspiracy theorist types like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, Democrats will at the very least have a shot at protecting their House and Senate majorities.
