LOL: REPUBLICAN Investigation Finds No Voter Fraud
Republicans around the country are still trying to “audit” the 2020 election, nearly 8 months after it occurred. Every time an investigation of theirs wraps up and allegations of tampering go unproven, they move on to the next state and try to look for evidence there. Now we have learned that Michigan has wrapped up its Republican-led investigation into the November 2020 contest. The inquiry was done by the State Senate’s Oversight Committee and the report concluded “there is no evidence presented at this time to prove whether significant acts of fraud . . . perpetrated in order to subvert the will of Michigan voters.” Topics investigated included the claims that dead people voted, “ballot dumps” took place in Detroit, and that some precincts reported more than 100% voter turnout. Biden won the state by 154,188 votes, receiving all of its 16 electoral votes.
This news is all well and good except for the fact that these “audits” serve a purpose. The Trumpian right benefits off these investigations even happening in the first place. They were able to use the very fact that an investigation was going on to justify passing voter suppression bills in the states they control. Republicans don’t need to prove there was fraud or overturn the results in order to find ways to make it a political win for them. Now that the Michigan inquiry has been completed, they will focus their attention on Arizona, and after Arizona they’ll go back to Georgia or Pennsylvania. This will probably last until the 2022 midterms or in early 2023 when the next presidential election cycle begins and Donald Trump can announce he’s running to make amends for the “fraud” in the previous election. If these voter suppression bills continue getting passed in these red states and swing states, there could be a decent chance of Trump coming back and maybe even winning this time.
MyPillow CEO Changes Trump Reinstatement from August to September
MyPillow guy Mike Lindell is backing off his prediction that Donald Trump will be reinstated as president in August. The pillow tycoon now says he may be off by at least a month. Lindell went on some program and said that “it could be September. I believe it’s going to be this fall for sure.” Fall in the northern hemisphere ends December 21st, pushing the prediction back effectively to the end of the year. This is not the first time Trump supporters have come up with a date for when their defeated candidate would be declared the winner of the 2020 election. First it was December 14, 2020, then January 6th, then January 20th. After Joe Biden was sworn in, they moved the date to March and now it has been moved to August or September or even December of 2021. When those months roll around, all Lindell will have to do is go on another talk show and say he got the prediction slightly off again and push it back a few more months. In the meantime, he can make a fortune off the pillows he sells to his Trump-supporting consumer base.
From yesterday’s show:
Florida Will Now REQUIRE Schools Teach That Communism is "Evil"
Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law that requires high school students be taught about the “evils of communism.” The law will also create a library that will allow students to learn about people who were “real patriots” and came to the United States “after seeing the horrors of these communist regimes.” It’s patently obvious that students in Florida are not going to be learning about different political and economic systems in any honest way. It makes sense for students to learn about different schools of thought and have an understanding about classical economics, Keynesian economics, Marxist economics, etc. But they need to be taught these theories in the proper context and in a measured way so that students can make up their own minds as to which theories they find the most convincing. What Florida is doing with its “Portraits in Patriotism” library and fearmongering about communism is simply propaganda and the goal of it is to feed young voters right into the Republican Party.
