"Christian" Anti-Vaccine Skeptic Dead of COVID After Pushing Ivermectin, Hycroxychloroquine
Yet another anti-vax broadcaster has died of COVID-19. His name was Marcus Lamb, he was 64 years old, and he was a Christian television host who encouraged people to pray instead of getting the shots for coronavirus. Lamb questioned the effectiveness of the vaccines and whether getting inoculated would instead be harmful to the immune system. He said that as an alternative to getting vaccinated, “we can pray, we can get ivermectin, and budesonide and hydroxychloroquine.” This is a story we have heard so many times in only slightly different forms. There is now a long list of conservative and religious broadcasters who wrote off the vaccines as bad and instead pushed the usual suspect drugs like ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. In some of these cases, the people who pushed the alternative treatments wound up getting COVID and some percentage of them have died. Lamb, given his age and being diabetic, probably should have gotten the vaccine and there’s a strong chance it would have saved his life if he did. Unfortunately, Lamb was too deep into the weeds of disinformation to do the reasonable thing and pushed nonsense alternatives instead.
Tucker Bravely Covers Story of CNN Host Firing His Nanny
For some reason, Fox News propagandist Tucker Carlson felt it was important to cover the fact that CNN host Brian Stelter fired his nanny recently because she wouldn’t get a COVID shot. Tucker aired supposedly uncovered audio of Stelter addressing this matter wherein the CNN host said, “our nanny refuses to get vaccinated and so we are parting ways with her. It was very very sad, we thought that after six months after seeing the vaccines are all good and everyone is fine. We thought she’d come around.” If anything, this quote makes Stelter look reasonable because he and his wife gave the nanny six months because they apparently liked her and wanted to give her a chance. Carlson said that they reached out to CNN for comment but that the network didn’t respond. It would be weird if CNN did respond, however, since this was a nanny privately hired by Brian Stelter and his wife so CNN has no place in the matter. Tucker also has a habit of calling Stelter a “eunuch” and claimed that he’s doing his best to take the job of “the steroid guy,” Chris Cuomo, who was suspended this week from the network. The fact that this non-story is being covered in primetime by Fox News is bizarre but Tucker’s viewers seemingly can’t get enough of it.

Joe Rogan Crosses Dangerous Line Into Total Conspiracy
Joe Rogan has crossed the Rubicon when it comes to COVID conspiracy theories. Rogan’s new idea is that there’s a concerted effort to hide the effectiveness of monoclonal antibodies so that people will instead get vaccinated all to allow big pharma to make money. He laid this theory out on a recent podcast with Jocko Willink. Rogan explained that both he and Donald Trump recovered from the virus within days of receiving the alternative treatment. He went on to say that people who promote the vaccine “don’t want there to be a clear path where you don’t have to be vaccinated, but if you get sick you’re going to be fine.” When pressed as to why this would be the case, Rogan said “it must be” the greed of pharmaceutical companies. The main reason why this analysis falls short is that big pharma also produces the monoclonal antibodies and since they’re more expensive, the profit incentive would actually exist in the opposite direction. While monoclonal antibodies are effective, they are not a silver bullet (much like the vaccines). And if someone is in a position where they need this alternative treatment, they’re far better off having been vaccinated for better protection against the virus.

Stacey Abrams is Running for Georgia Governor (Again) in 2022
This week, Stacey Abrams announced that she’s once again going to be running for governor of Georgia in 2022. She launched her campaign on the platform of fighting for economic equality and expanding health care access. This announcement sets the stage for a possible rematch of 2018 when Abrams went up against Brian Kemp who defeated her by a margin of about 55,000 votes or 1.4%. But there is some chance that this won’t be a rematch because both candidates will first have to win their respective primaries. While Abrams appears to be a lock for the Democratic nomination, many Trump supporters are upset with Kemp for not doing enough to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia and delivering Trump the win in the state despite him losing the contest by about 12,000 votes to Joe Biden. Ultimatley, the results of this race will depend on turnout and while Abrams does have a shot, she’ll have to win in an environment that’s likely going to be a red wave overall in 2022 that could easily see Republicans take back the House and maybe even the Senate. Abrams is however a force to be reckoned with and an expert at getting people registered and out to the polls. If there’s anyone who can pull it off the victory, it’s going to be her.
