Trump winning AND LOSING 2024 polls
The Republican primary polling for the 2024 presidential election has been making headlines recently, with former President Donald Trump leading in most polls. However, the accuracy of these polls in March of the year before the election is questionable. Polling data from March 2015 shows that Trump was not leading at the time, but he ultimately became the nominee in 2016. Similarly, Barack Obama was not leading in March 2007, but he won the Democratic nomination in 2008. The question is whether there is anything different this time around that might make polling more or less relevant. The answer is yes, to some extent, as it is not typical to have a former president running in a contested primary after losing reelection. However, it remains to be seen how this will affect the accuracy of polling data. Trump currently leads in most polls, with DeSantis trailing behind him. It is worth noting that the more candidates there are, the better Trump seems to do. Nevertheless, it is important to approach polling data with caution, especially this early in the election cycle.
Republicans endorsing Ron DeSantis, who isn't even running (yet)
Republicans are endorsing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for president even though he has not announced his candidacy yet. Former Governor Jeb Bush praised DeSantis as a serious contender for the presidency, and Republican Chip Roy has also endorsed him. While it is not common for non-candidates to receive endorsements from such notable figures, it has happened in the past, such as in 1924 when former President Teddy Roosevelt was endorsed for the presidency by the Progressive Party despite not having announced his candidacy. The question remains as to whether DeSantis will run for president in 2024 or wait until 2028, and while some predict that he will run in 2024, others remain open to the possibility that he may not.
From yesterday’s show:
Attacks on free speech rising dramatically...by right wingers
The American right-wing is on a crusade to stifle free expression, which is deeply concerning and utterly hypocritical given their supposed advocacy for the issues. There have been widespread attempts to censor, ban, and restrict speech under the guise of “protecting the children” and “parental rights,” effectively silencing parents’ freedom to choose what their children read or watch. Meanwhile, they accuse the left of suppressing speech, which only serves to deflect attention away from their own actions. Republicans are limiting free expression by banning books and restricting drag performances, which nobody is required to read or attend, all while feigning concern for free speech. The left must take a stand against these brazen attempts by the right-wing to attack our fundamental rights.
WHOA: George Santos accused of credit card skimming operation
Republican congressman George Santos is currently facing accusations of allegedly orchestrating a credit card skimming operation, as per a sworn statement from a former roommate. This is just one of many instances of Santos's alleged fraudulent behavior, as he has a history of compulsive lying and deceitful actions. His reputation as someone with a compulsion for criminality and fraud makes him a perfect representative of the Republican Party, which appears to have no interest in expelling him or forcing him to resign. This lack of action raises serious questions about their priorities and values, and it only serves to erode public trust in the political process and exacerbate the already-growing sense of disillusionment with American politics.

2024 polling a rollercoaster as CRT confusion grows
Love the show. It would be good if you talked about Biden sometimes. So much on Trump but nothing on Biden's achievements or otherwise
